I’ve back form Florida for way over a month and I’m still banging on about this chuffing holiday.
It’s because it makes my heart squeal.
Anyway, this is day 12. We went to the Animal Kingdom, the final park at Disneyworld Florida that we visited.
We took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and then caught the bus to Animal Kingdom – another park we didn’t realise would take quite as long to get around!
We saw loads of amazing birds and watched a bird show that was very clever. How do they get animals to form those habits and do those tricks?
We watched the parade, too. We managed to be near the front of the parade but for some reason, it stopped moving and it was SO so so SO hot, that we decided to leave and get refreshments.
Animal Kingdom Rides.
You sit inside a jeep, strap in and go back in time to the land of the dinosaurs, it’s a dark ride where you are shaken and dinosaurs come out at you. It was okay, very jerky but not scary and was a little old feeling.
Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
I was proper papping my pants when I was in the queue for this ride. I think we all were. It’s a massive roller coaster that goes forwards, backwards and has a massive drop. It wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be thankfully! I think my bravery over the previous week had increased as I actually had fun and put my hands in air. Ha.
It’s Tough to be a Bug!
This was SO much better than expected. It was a 4D movie based on A Bug’s Life. Basically, it’s bugs talking about how life is for them , with humans squatting them and trying to kill them, etc. The effects are very good and even had tonnes of children screaming! It was a little creepy. So much better than that shitty Shrek 4D movie we saw at Universal.
Up and down and round and round. This roller coaster spins as it goes around the track. It’s very rickity and cause my dress to break, which was awkward and I had to buy a new one. Woe.
Kali River Rapids.
Felt like we were waiting ages in this line, but it was worth it. This was a fun water ride where you sit in a river raft that takes a tour through a jungle, with plenty of drops and splashes along the way. FUN FUN FUN FUN.
