American Drugstore Make-up Haul

It was the 11th day of Florida. I woke up emotionally spent from the amazing fireworks we had witnessed the night before at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

The girls wanted to go to a mall, but after spending $500 the last time we went to the maul, I decided to stay at the hotel and have a bit of a chill out day.

I went to the hotel gym for a bit of a work out. It was very hot, so I struggled to run longer than 15 minutes. Afterwards, I sat by the pool. I had my laptop with me so I was able to catch up on blogging as well as swim when it got too hot.

I’m a bit of a loner so I enjoy time to myself just to chill out. I think it’s exactly what I needed. After I had enough by the pool, I had a nosey around the shops on International Drive. Naturally, I walked to Walgreens to look at make-up. I ended up getting loads for around $40! Walgreens was my favourite shop in America. Everything just seemed so much cheaper and more fun than in the UK.

Drugstore Make-up Haul:

  • Wet n Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette in Rose Golden Goddess
  • Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection Take on the Day Mattifying Powder Pedestal
  • Wet n Wild Color Icon Glitter Single in Bleached
  • Covergirl Professional Loose Powder
  • Maybelline Cover Stick
  • Burts Bees Lip Shimmer in Cherry
  • Some really shit brush that is wank.

The Shimmer Palette is probably my favourite item, although it did come loose from it’s casing right away, which is a pity as it is a lovely bronzer. I love the Burts Bees Lip Shimmer too, surprisingly it tastes and smells of mint, I was expecting it to be cherry. It leaves a light colour, similar to that of a Babylips balm.

The Glitter Single was only 99c and leaves loads of glitter on your lids. I am so glad I got it as I was looking at a more expensive one at the maul we went to. A lot more expensive.

The brush was truly naff, I can’t even remember the brand of it as it was written on the packaging, which is long gone now. The bristles started falling out right away. Boo and hiss.

Wet n Wild has to be one of my favourite brands now. I hope they have it in the UK, I need to do a search Amazon for it. It’s so cheap and great value for money. They have fantastic nail varnishes too, I brought loads back with me, but that’s for my next haul…
