On the 6th day of our holiday, we went to Disneyworld’s Hollywood Studios, one of Disney’s 4 theme parks. It was a little cloudy and was trying to rain all day, but it was still lovely day! Hollywood studios is probably one of the more ‘adulty’ parks. The set up reminds me of a typical 70’s American town.

The Rides and Attractions

I didn’t really go on many of the rides, I bottled it on the Terror Tower and the Aerosmith Rollarcoaster! I did get a bit braver towards the end of the holiday though. Also, it gave me a bit of time to wander around and take photos while the girls went on the big scary rides. I also drank beer. I like wandering and beer better than being afraid. I can tell you about the rides I did go on though!

Star Tours.
This was a star wars ride, it was a motion simulator that took you on a scary ride through the universe. It was a fun ride but not too scary. There was a child sat near who who cried al the way through though. Poo to children.

Walt Disney – One mans dream.
This was an exhibition that told you all about Walt’s life and the start if Disneyworld. I would have liked to have a bit more time in there but I had to go and meet the girls.

Beauty and the Beast – live on stage.
This was a live show of Beauty and the Beast, I think it lasted around 30 minutes and it was a shortened version of the film. It was a fun and quirky show and I enjoyed singing long and remembering watching it as a child!

Voyage of the Little Mermaid – live on stage.
This was another live show, although I couldn’t photograph it because it was very dark and the theatre had a sort of ‘underwater’ theme. Little Mermaid is my favourite Disney so I really enjoyed it! I just wish it was longer as it only lasted around 20 minutes!

Lights, Motors, Action.
This was a car stunt show that showed you some stunts and how they did them. Did you know that in scenes where the car drives fast and around corners in reverse, it is actually a car built for stunts that has the steering wheel facing backwards? It was okay but it seemed to go on for AGES and had too much talking in between actually showing the stunts. We ended up leaving as we had to go back to our transfer so I don’t know if it had an amazing ending anything!
It started throwing it down with rain while we were waiting for the transfer. I don’t think I’ve ever know rain so thick and heavy. Thankfully I had a poncho that I put on.

When we got back, we went to an all you can eat Chinese and ate. The sushi was so nice!

  9. With Belle being my favorite anytime I’ve been the live show is always a stop! Seeing the pictures put a smile on my face!

  10. Can’t believe you didn’t go on ToT!! That’s my FAVOURITE ride!! I could spend all day on that one alone lol! You didn’t miss much at the end of the stunt show, that bores the pants off me now and it’s not even a good air-con break when the park gets all hot and stuffy! Sarah 🙂

  11. I really enjoyed reading this- I love the poo to children remark hahaha.
I’ve heard they’re going to be closing down one mans dream soon to make way for Star Wars land and toy story land… Which is a shame because I really liked that bit! Xx
