OHHHH my word. Stop what you are doing, pick me up and carry me back to this day.    On the 10th Day of Florida…

On the 10th Day of Florida we visited the Magic Kingdom. I have to split this day into two posts because I took SO many photos and they were too good to cut out! So I’ve split it into the day time and the night time, as we stayed until 11pm to watch the electrical parade and the fire works. The evening was just so amazing that it deserves a separate post – this also means I get to drag out talking about this holiday a little longer!

I’m gutted that my Moves app was not tracking my steps, because I’m pretty sure we walked over 10 miles! I would love to know how many miles we waked on this holiday because we were basically on our feet most of the time!

We ate at Pinocchio Village Haus, which was a casual type cafe and I ate a chicken salad. For a change 😉

Don’t worry – we did go back to Magic Kingdom later in the week so some of the rides aren’t mentioned in this post as we did them on another day!

The Rides at Magic Kingdom:

Splash Mountain.
This was a log flume ride which a big drop at the end. You went through the mountain and it was a rather creepy show of working farmers and animals. The drop wasn’t as bad as I had expected it to be!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
This was a roller coaster that was a run away train/mine cart, it wasn’t massive and didn’t go upside down. Christine and I even got brave and put our arms in the air. Haha.

Dumbo The Flying Elephant.
This was a round about type ride where you could control the cart to go up and down in the elephant cart. It was similar to the Twirl ‘n’ Hurl at Universal Studios.

Ariel’s Grotto.
Yay! Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat? I LOVE LITTLE MERMAID. Best best best. This was a ‘dark slow ride’ where you sat in a sea shell and went through different scenes from the Little Mermaid to the songs from the film. It was adorable. And slightly scary.

Haunted Mansion.
We had to wait 40 minutes for this ride. I remember this being quite fun in Disney Land Paris and it started very similar, inside a lift that has ‘no doors’ and takes you into the mansion and it broke down at this point, so nobody was moving onto the ride but people were still coming into the lift. It was so hot and nobody seemed to be moving! My life flashed before my eyes and I was pretty sure that we were all going to get crushed together and die. Dramatic. We then finally got onto the ride and I did a smile as I realised there was hope yet. Not death for me. You sat in twos and were taking around various scary scenes with ‘ghosts’. It broke down a few more times while we were on it which took away the fun to be honest.

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel.
Yay, I love Carrousels!  This was your run of the mill carrousel in the middle of fantasy land. Loved it! This really did make the theme park seem magical, especially with the Disney castle in the background!
Day 5 – Mauling and Haulin
Day 7 – Seaworld
