On the 7th day of our holiday to Orlando Florida, we went to Seaworld for the day. To be honest, we only really went because they were included in the tickets we had bought for all the parks.
It was an okay day, I enjoyed it the more than the girls as it really gave me a chance to place with my camera and take some photos of flowers and animals. I spent most time flicking between the built in settings as it easier when having to catch photos fast, but I mostly took these photos on manual settings which makes me feel better about them!
The Animal Shows
Pets Ahoy.
The only thing we knew about this was that it was a cat and dog show. I have no idea how you can train cats and was curious about it. It was really clever! They had cats, dogs, rats, mice, a pig, birds and other animals doing all sorts of tricks. It was all reward based, of course, but I still don’t get how they can train them so well! All the animals came from a rescue home too.
One Ocean.
This was the famous Shamu show where killer wales jump and out of the water to music. The crowd was MASSIVE! We were right at the back so didn’t get splashed by the whales like some of the audience did who were sat at the front.
Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island.
I’ve seen a few sea lion shows in my time, but I’ve never seen one that was actually a story acted out by people and the sea lions! It was really cheesy with poor jokes that were were so bad they were funny. Ha.
Blue Horizons.
This was a dolphin show that also featured birds and acrobats. The acrobats looked amazing as they were loads of them in the air at the same time doing all sorts. I didn’t know where to look!
A’lure, The Call the the Ocean.
This was the least impressive show, I think. It was a story of a fisherman that had a spell cast on him and featured acrobats. It was okay but you can only see a person do a flip so many times before it becomes boring. I mean, I could never do a backflip myself so it is impressive, but.. eh.
The Rides at Seaworld
There were a few rides at Seaworld, unfortunately the Empire of the Penguins broke down after we had waited in line for around 45 mins. Also, the Journey to Atlantis which was a big scary looking log flume was having work done on it so we couldn’t go on that either! We only went on one.
Wild Atlantic Flight
This was a simulator, motion simulator ride similar to the Star Tours ride at Universal Studios. You took a helicopter ride into the icy north and get a ‘close up view’ of all the animals there. It was not very nice to be honest. Ha. It was just REALLY jumpy and rickety. It felt old and too shaky and ended up making us all feel sick.
It’s a pity we only got to go on one ride and it was rubbish! It might have been a better day overall if we had to got to go on the other two rides we wanted to!

I went to SeaWorld in San Diego and I can’t believe everything is basically the same! I went there to see the killer whale show, I’m obsessed with orcas. The crowd was massive there too and we sat way back. It actually made me sad, though, to see those magnificent humongous animals in that sardine can… But the pet show was just adorable, it really is crazy how they can train all of those animals so well.
Yeah! I didn’t get to see how big the pool behind the show was as I assume they stay in that part mostly =(
Shame it wasn’t the best day, but you got some great photos!
I’m a bit of a ride wimp so I’m always quietly relieved when I can’t go on them but must be disappointing for most people! x

I love animals so I would have loved this! Unfortunately we don’t have a sea world or similar concept in India but my dad’s been to one of these in South Africa. You taken some amazing photos on manual settings Corrine 🙂 🙂 Keep in touch xx

Sea World is such a chilled day out, but I can’t believe you guys didn’t do Kraken or Manta! Manta is AMAZING and one of my fave rides in Florida! Your pictures are great, they make me want a shiny new camera!Sarah 🙂

Shame about the rides but you still look like you had a wonderful day. I loved watching the killer whales but after I had visited I came back and watched the film big fish and it just ruined the illusion, have a great weekend Lucy x
