ad. Honestly, I have regretted buying this daybed from Ikea since we first bought it at our old house. It’s such a long bed! I wish we had a sofa bed instead. That being said, it fits much better in this house than it did in the last one. But it’s in my office, so a sofa bed would look much better!
However, there’s no point in buying a new sofa bed when there are so many other things we need to do with the house before considering this, so we move.

I’ve been working with Poster Store to spruce up this area. I’ve come to realise that a gallery wall solves all my problems. As do rugs. I’m just throwing them at every area of the house I dislike. Which is a lot.
No need to paint, decorate or do expensive DIY work – just get some pictures up. I love it. As you can probably tell from my recent posts.
Poster Store is excellent because it offers a wide variety of prints. I love browsing the gallery wall section to see which prints look good together. That’s essentially what I did here – I used most of the prints from the same example on the website.

How I created this gallery wall
Pick the prints.
It was as simple as going to Posterstore and finding some prints I liked in the gallery wall section. You can also browse the prints individually. They often show you a selection of similar prints that complement each other well. I have different sizes, as I prefer my gallery walls to feature a variety of picture sizes.
Buy the frames.
I bought the frames from Ikea as they are much cheaper than from Posterstore. It might be more convenient to get them from Poster Store, but it’s worth checking out the price differences.
Plan the gallery wall layout.
Once the pictures arrived and I placed each print in the frame, I used the floor to lay them out and decide where I wanted to put them. This is the main tip. The rest of these tips are just common sense, I guess. But who has that in 2025? Not me. That’s what AI is for.
Get a hammer and hope.
I shouldn’t say this, I really shouldn’t. But I don’t measure a thing. I just stick them up and hope for the best. Don’t tell my husband.

Anyway, I’m happy with the result!
I can finally walk into this room and feel happy! This is essential, as this is where the main bathroom in our house is located. Well, it’s the only bathroom that has a shower. The others have baths. Who needs three baths? We don’t use any of them. It’s also the downstairs bedroom, so it’s where we direct guests when they need to use the toilet. As the toilet off the pantry is not good.
Well, that’s enough oversharing for today. Come back soon for more.
