Like many women, my relationship with my hair is a complex one. When I was a child, I had blonde ringlets. They were adorable but, sadly, they quickly turned into mousey brown, frizzy locks by the time I hit my teens. This was the time before GHDs existed. In fact, it was the time before I even knew a thing called straighteners existed!
My Sister-in-law took me to the hairdressers on my birthday when I was 13 (really, I think she was fed up with me looking a state) and they cut my hair, styled it and gave it a blowdry. When I got home, I went out to see my friends and one of them looked at me, laughed and called me a bush head.

Now, this small comment has haunted me ever since. I loved my new haircut until this point, and now all I could see when I looked in the mirror was bush bush bush. I started putting it back up in a high ponytail again because I was embarrassed.
Actually – the story above has only just hit me as I’ve had it packed inside my mind since it happened and haven’t spoken about it ever again. I never realised how hurt I was and how self-conscious my friend made me feel until I sat down to write this blog post!
Anyway, A couple of years later my Mum bought me some old Babyliss hair straighteners from the car boot for 50p. This was the first time I had seen a pair of hair straighteners. They were so old that you could pull out the straightening plates, turn them around and then crimp your hair with the other side. Do you remember crimping? This must have been around 2000 – crimping was out of fashion by then, but those 50p straighteners changed my life. I’ve actually managed to track them down – look!
Ahh, the memories.

These straighteners, paired with John Frieda’s Frizz Ease were my staples for years. Until ceramic hair straighteners and GHDs hit the market, that is!
I have been so self-conscious of my frizzy hair ever since that I’ve straightened it for the past 20+. That’s a lot of heat! I’ve lived most of my life describing my hair as dry and damaged (is there any wonder) but it’s always been thick. Until the last few years.
I am further into my 30s than I’d care to admit, the greys are coming in quickly and I’m still recovering from postpartum hair loss and to be honest, I feel a bit sad about how I’ve treated my hair over the years. I feel even more sad about how I’ve felt about it!

But it’s not too late to do something about it. Although factors such as genetics, age and lifestyle contribute to damaged hair, hair loss and thinning, there are products available that can help support hair growth and improve hair health.
That’s where Feel Hair Support comes into the picture.

About Feel Hair Support
Feel Hair Support has just launched and is a stand-out innovation in hair loss treatment in the form of a capsule to be taken daily. It contains Keranat™, the first scientifically proven ingredient that significantly reduces hair loss. Keranat™ targets the skin underneath the hair bulb, increasing collagen thickness and stimulating hair cell proliferation.
This unique ingredient is combined with Biotin (Vitamin B7), which strengthens hair follicles and enhances keratin production. Biotin is a fundamental nutrient when it comes to hair health. It aids in overall hair maintenance, strengthens hair follicles, and reduces hair breakage.
Research suggests that thinning hair may be linked to low levels of Biotin, so including it in the formula can eliminate deficiencies of this essential nutrient. Feel Hair Support is a comprehensive solution to promote healthy hair growth and combat hair loss.

What are the benefits of taking Feel Hair Support?
- Tackles hair loss
- Stimulates hair growth
- Strengthens hair
- Shinier hair
- Scalp nourishment
I’m particularly excited about the scalp nourishment aspect – as I have a dry scalp and need to use T-gel. During trials, Keranat™ gave women notable improvements in scalp dryness after 6 weeks!
I’m also intrigued to see how it will help my hair’s strength as I’m prone to damaged hair which causes flyaways and adds to my frizz.
Feel Hair Support is vegan, gluten free, kosher, non-GMO, and free from all 14 major allergens. Our products contain no artificial fillers, bulking agents, or colours, and all our packaging is made from 100% plant-derived, plastic-free, compostable materials.

Feel Hair Support Ingredients
Ingredients: Keranat™ (Millet Oil [Panicum miliaceum], Sunflower Oil [Helianthus annuus], Wheatgerm Oil [Triticum vulgare], Rosemary Leaf Oil [Rosmarinus officinalis]), Safflower Oil (Carthamus tinctorius), Capsule: Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Emulsifier (Mono and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids), D-Biotin.
My hair right now
So, As I said above, I have straightened my hair (often daily!) for 2 decades and I am trying to embrace my waves, curls and ringlets. I’ve been letting it dry naturally and using products to help reduce the frizz.
I’ve found that it’s getting curlier the longer I go without straightening! I still am conscious of the frizz, especially the flyaways that haunt the top of my head! It’s a difficult balance of using just the right amount of product that doesn’t cause my roots to appear greasy.
I am hoping that Feel Hair Support should be able to sort that right out and give me much more confidence to embrace my waves and curls!

It takes 12 weeks to see results and I’ve been taking the Feel Hair supplement for about 3 weeks, so I’ve still got a long way to go until I can see some real results. Obviously, my hair needs time to grow so it’s not going to be instant results overnight.
But because the other products on the website have thousands of positive reviews, plus how Feel Hair Support is backed by science and has been through clinical trials, I am confident I’ll see positive results soon!

Love your waves. I have had naturally wavy hair but i don’t know why I always straighten for the special occasions. If my waves look as good as yours, i would forget about straightening.

I adore your natural hair, jealous! I hate having mine straight but it’s always so flat and dull. I’m definitely taking more care of mine as I get older too, postpartum hair loss is no joke!
I haven’t heard of this before. I might mention this to my partner as she has curly/wavy hair. Thank you for sharing your experience.

OMG, I’d totally forgotten about those straighteners until now! What a blast from the past! Thank you for the reminder, Haha. I used to love crimping my hair as well. These supplements sound great. I’ve noticed thinning at the front of my hairline, whether that’s postpartum, or you know, just old, I’m not sure. Your hair looks fab though. I love that you’re embracing the waves!

You look absolutely gorgeous with wavy hair! My hair is naturally wavy/kinky but also frizzy so it never really feels done when it’s au natural!
