This week we went pumpkin picking at the Whole Hogg Farm Shop in Malton, a popular North Yorkshire spot for seasonal pumpkin picking and family days out. We’ve never been pumpkin picking, so it was our first for us! We went with some friends who live in Malton and recommend this place.
Pumpkin Picking at The Whole Hogg Farm Shop Malton
The Whole Hogg Farm Shop grows its own pumpkins on-site, with a wide range of sizes available throughout October.
It has a lovely tearoom, where we sat and enjoyed a coffee with a rocky road before. There’s also a small shop which sells local produce such as oils, jams, honey, meat, and deli items and outside there’s fresh fruit and veg. It’s quite lovely, actually!

Weekends can be busy in October, so visiting earlier in the day helps avoid queues.
