Yak and Yeti York is a Gurkha restaurant in the beautiful city of York that we’ve had our eye on for a while. There are so many nice places to eat in York and we’re trying to try new ones rather than stick to the things we know.
It’s York’s first authentic Nepalese restaurant right in the heart of the city.
For starters, I have steamed momo (similar to dumplings in a Chinese restaurant) and my boyfriend had Pork Bhutuwa. I have Everest Lamb for my main, I think my boyfriend had another pork dish. At first, the dish looked small but it really did fill us up!
The food was delicious and tasted so fresh. Full of flavour and not too spicy. Great value for money, too. 2 beers, 2 starters and 2 mains came to £53! The service was a little slow, it seemed to take a while for someone to take our order. It was a Saturday night though and quite busy. Make sure you book if you want to go!
