Why Happiness Equals Long-Term Weight Loss

A factor that many people omit when talking about weight loss is happiness. Positivity can help you in many different aspects of life and weight loss is no exception. So how exactly does putting on a smile help with your weight loss adventure? Let’s find out.

Why Happiness Equals Long-Term Weight Loss

Stop forcing yourself to do something you hate

Let’s face it, most of us that want to lose weight don’t want to be stuck in a gym for hours every day. We want to live our lives but make small changes in order to burn weight fast and keep it that way. Keep in mind that your net calories throughout the day are what will determine if you lose or put on weight, and it’s calculated against your basal metabolic rate (BMR).

In short, your BMR is how much energy you spend each day and it’s expressed in calories. So if your BMR is 1,500 calories, that’s how many calories you burn by simply being alive. More calories are burned due to exercise, and calories are added when you eat something. If you simply didn’t eat anything and stayed at home without doing exercise, then you’d have a net calorie loss of 1,500 calories (assuming that was your BMR) and you could technically shed a pound of fat every 2-3 days. However, this isn’t exactly advised because we all need to eat food and simply moving around or walking helps us burn more calories.

But there are supplements and foods that we can eat which make it easier to lose weight without forcing ourselves to exercise. For instance, you can buy these products from Nutritional Cleanse to help you lose weight. They’re packed full of nutrients and the items included are low in calories while being high in the nutrients we need. This can simplify your diet and help you maintain a positive outlook while trying to lose weight.

In short, you technically don’t need to exercise to lose weight. You simply need to eat fewer calories and engage in light activities like walking the dog or playing with your children in the garden. Just remember that if you force yourself to do something you don’t like, you’ll associate negative emotions with it and it will be even more difficult to maintain. Lose weight with a smile on your face, not while gritting your teeth and hating yourself.

Find a way to lose weight that works for you

So to conclude this brief bit of advice, just remember that losing weight isn’t a single formula that has to be followed by everyone in the same way. Losing weight depends on the individual and everyone needs to find their preferred method, and the important thing to remember is that the changes you make to lose weight need to be sustainable. They need to be enjoyable enough to put a smile on your face and they have to be simple enough to not take up more of your time. Beat the stress of losing weight by finding a source of happiness instead of forcing yourself.
