Essence has been around a good couple of years now. It’s a dead cheap brand that actually has some great products. Though I’m not a fan of their mascara or eyeshadow, their eyeliners are great.

About Essence Mosaic Compact Powder

Essence Mosaic Compact Powder is a makeup product from Essence, a popular budget-friendly cosmetics brand known for offering a wide range of makeup and beauty products. The Mosaic Compact Powder is a type of face powder designed to provide a subtle, radiant, and natural finish to the skin. Here are some general features and information about this product:

  1. Mosaic Design: The Essence Mosaic Compact Powder typically features a mosaic or multi-coloured pattern. These different shades are blended together to create a harmonious mixture that can be applied to the face for a subtle, luminous effect. The various colours in the mosaic are meant to blend seamlessly when applied to the skin.
  2. Finishing Powder: This compact powder is often used as a finishing powder. It’s applied after foundation and concealer to set makeup in place and reduce shine. It can also be used on its own for a natural, fresh-faced look.
  3. Matte or Radiant Finish: Depending on the specific product variant, Essence Mosaic Compact Powder may offer either a matte finish for a more polished look or a radiant finish for a subtle glow. The choice of finish depends on your personal preference and skin type.
  4. Buildable Coverage: This powder typically provides buildable coverage, allowing you to control the level of coverage you want. You can apply it lightly for a sheer finish or build it up for more coverage.
  5. Oil Control: Some variants of this powder may have oil-absorbing properties, helping to reduce shine and control excess oil throughout the day.
  6. Variety of Shades: Essence usually offers a range of shades to suit different skin tones. Be sure to choose a shade that closely matches your skin tone for the most natural finish.
  7. Affordable: Essence is known for its budget-friendly prices, making this product accessible to a wide range of consumers.

My Essence Mosaic Powder Review

I got this powder in a recent Glossybox. This is lucky because the powder I was using is broken into a million little pieces and is probably out of date anyway, just like my eyebrows. They’re out of date, too. Don’t look at them in the photos below because I basically just pluck them once a month. They’re not a good example of blogger brows. It’s more like the brows of a lazy 29-year-old going through a midlife crisis about ending up alone. This is happening, kids. I’m going to die alone.

How do I manage to turn everything into this? Like, seriously. I need to get a grip. Like, totally. Loser, lame ass, wannabe.

Soooo yes. Essence is a brand that has cheap products, some of which are great and some of which are naff.

This is only £2 in shops! It’s a 5 toned mosaic powder that gives you a sun-kissed look. Although the sun kissedness is subtle, the powder itself works pretty well. And for £2, you can’t really grumble!

  2. It is a brand that could be hit or miss but some of their item are more hit we do get what we pay for in some brands. I like the packaging and shades.

  3. The powder looks fab and the price is great too. I don’t use powder, not sure why, I used to a few years ago.

  4. Essence has some really good products and they are bargain! This powder would be great after getting some tan, then you can make it stand out more. x

  8. I agree with you, some Essence products are really good, I always use their eyeshadow primer. This powder doesn’t sound bad either but I think I’d rather invest into a high end powder. 🙂 xx

  9. I’ve not tried anything from Essence yet, but I’ve heard some good things about their products. I’m currently waiting for the brow gel to come into my local Wilkinson store, as I’m allergic to the Benefit equivalent. I’ll definitely be checking this out next time I’m in store. I’d love to find an inexpensive alternative to my MAC MSF Natural. Xx

  10. You can’t beat that £2 price tag! It’s a bummer Essence products are a bit hard to track down in the US.

  11. I’ve tried some of the Essense products, just not this one. While I don’t like the presentation I do like the price…

  13. I haven’t tried Essence before, people always talk about them but I’ve never quite fancied them. The bronzer looks good on you, looks like there isn’t heaps of glitter in like usual x
