My Modelones Gel Nail Polish Review

I decided to pick the Mermaid Bubble set. I always pick the same colour when it comes to nail polish – I usually opt for browns, shimmers, rose and red colours. So this was something different for me! The set contains 6 different colours. I knew exactly which one I wanted to try – the one that I think is the most mermaidish. If that is even a word. But let’s go with it.

I already had a lamp, base coat and top coat so I didn’t need to order them from Modelones. I used the base coat and cured for 60 seconds, then applied 2 layers of the colour, curing for 60 seconds each time and then I added the top coat. After curing the top coat, I rubbed some cuticle oil around my fingers as I have been stuffing for dry skin around my nails lately.

I love the colour. It’s hard to show how gorgeous it is in the picture. It’s got a lovely pearlescent shimmer to it and I love how it glows pink and purple as it hits the light.

I personally found it dried really quickly. I was rubbing the oil into my cuticles right after. It felt dry and didn’t smudge. But I didn’t use the Modelone top coat or lamp, so I can’t honestly say if that made a difference or not. So, that’s it for my Modelones gel polish review.
