I’ve decided to make a big investment in the Yamaha Clavinova CLP 625 As you may know, in August last year I started taking piano lessons. I bought myself a cheap piano for Gea4Music and off I went.
Since then, I’ve decided to invest in a better digital piano – the Yamaha Clavinova CLP 625 which is designed to feel and sound like Yamahas concert grand. I love it.
About the Yamaha CLP-625
The Yamaha CLP-625 is a digital piano that offers an authentic piano-playing experience with its graded hammer 3 (GH3) keyboard, which simulates the feel of an acoustic piano. It has 88 keys and features synthetic ivory and ebony keytops that absorb moisture from your fingers, giving you better control and a natural playing experience.
The CLP-625 has Yamaha’s “Pure CF” sound engine that reproduces the sound of Yamaha’s acclaimed CFIIIS 9′ concert grand piano. It also has 10 other voices, including electric pianos, harpsichord, and strings. The piano has 192-note polyphony, allowing you to play complex pieces without notes dropping out.
Other features of the CLP-625 include dual-mode, which allows you to play two voices simultaneously, and a 2-track recorder that allows you to record and playback your performances. The piano also has a metronome, 50 preset songs (with a book with the sheet music included), and USB connectivity, which allows you to connect the piano to your computer or mobile device for recording or playing along with your favourite songs.

Styling My Yamaha CLP-625
For a few months my new piano was in front of some Ikea shelves and, today, we finally dismantled the unused wardrobe in the third smaller bedroom so I could put my piano in its place. Now my fiance and I no longer need to argue over the music room (he plays the guitar and he complains I’m always in there on my piano!).
I went to Dunelm this morning to return some bedding and found an hourglass and an elephant statue. I thought it would look lovely on my piano. I’ve also put the glass dome lamp I was gifted about two years ago on it with a fake plant.
I love it! I just need a little cabinet next to it to put my music on now. Also might bring some of my old keyboard certificates to put on the wall!
