Tsilivi Water Park (also known as Zante Water Village) is one of two water parks on the Greek island of Zakynthos (Zante). Located in the resort town of Tsilivi on the north coast, it’s a popular day trip for families and groups staying anywhere on the island.
We visited during our 2017 Zante holiday and spent a full day there. Here’s my honest review of what to expect, including the good, the disappointing, and practical tips for your visit.
My Experience at Tsilivi Water Park
We visited Tsilivi Water Park at the start of our second week with Zante. It was arranged through a tour company so we would get picked up and transported to it, it was around a 40 minute coach journey from Argassi,
When we got to the park, it actually turned out that it would have been cheaper to go ourselves and pay there, plus you get a free snack when you do it that way (burger, hotdog, sandwich roll etc). All we got was a free drink which turned out to be a small cup of rubbish tasting rola cola! So do check the price of getting their yourself and buying a ticket before booking with a tour company.
Another thing to check is how tall any kids are you are taking, as the slides all have height restrictions on them and the 8 year old on our party couldn’t go on half of the thing, which kind of broke her heart.
The water park was okay. The one in Cyprus and Florida was much better. The lazy river was small and there was only one really big slide. The wave pool was only turned on for 15 minutes at 1pm, 3pm and 4pm which was also a bit naff. They’re usually turned on every hour!
Overall, it was an okay water park but there are two in Zante so I’d be tempted to try out the other one over this one.
Getting to Tsilivi Water Park
Location
The water park is in Tsilivi, on the northeast coast of Zakynthos. If you’re staying in popular resorts:
- From Argassi: 40 minutes by coach (as we did)
- From Laganas: 45-50 minutes
- From Tsilivi: 5-10 minutes walk
- From Zakynthos Town: 20 minutes
Getting There
- Tour company transfers: Convenient but often more expensive
- Taxi: Around ¬15-25 depending on where you’re staying
- Hire car: Free parking available
- Local bus: Cheap but infrequent
My tip: Check if buying tickets directly at the gate is cheaper than booking through your hotel or tour rep. When we visited in 2017, direct tickets included a free snack that tour bookings didn’t.

- Adults: Around ¬22-25
- Children: Around ¬15-18
- Under 3s: Free
Tour company packages were more expensive but included transport.
2026 Update: Prices will have increased since 2017. Check the official Tsilivi Water Park website or ask your hotel rep for current pricing.
Facilities & Slides
The Slides:
The park has various slides, but honestly, it’s quite limited compared to larger water parks:
- One major slide (the biggest attraction)
- Several medium-height slides
- Family raft rides
- Children’s slides in the kids’ area
IMPORTANT: All slides have height restrictions. The 8-year-old in our group couldn’t go on half the slides, which was really disappointing. Check height requirements before you go if you have younger children.
Pools:
- Wave pool: Only operated for 15 minutes at 1pm, 3pm, and 4pm (this was rubbish compared to other parks that run waves hourly)
- Lazy river: Small and underwhelming
- Children’s pools: Shallow areas for little ones
Other Facilities:
- Sunbeds and umbrellas (may cost extra)
- Changing rooms and lockers
- Food outlets (burgers, hot dogs, snacks)
- Drinks bar
- Toilets and showers
What I Thought
The Good:
- Good for a half-day or full-day activity
- Kids enjoyed it despite limitations
- Staff were friendly
- Decent facilities (changing rooms, toilets)
- Not overcrowded when we visited
The Disappointing:
- Limited slides compared to other water parks I’ve visited
- Wave pool only on for 45 minutes total per day (15 mins x 3)
- Small lazy river
- Height restrictions excluded younger kids from many slides
- Tour company tickets cost more with fewer perks
- Free drink was tiny and tasted awful (cheap cola)
Tsilivi vs Splash Fun Water Park
Zakynthos has two water parks:
- Tsilivi Water Park (north coast – the one I visited)
- Splash Fun Water Park (near Tsilivi)
I didn’t visit Splash Fun so can’t compare directly, but based on my Tsilivi experience, I’d recommend trying the other one if you have time. I’ve been to better water parks in Cyprus and Florida – Tsilivi felt quite basic in comparison.
Tips for Visiting
- Check height restrictions: Measure your kids before going to avoid disappointment
- Compare ticket prices: Buy direct at the gate vs tour company – direct was cheaper for us
- Bring sunscreen: You’ll be in the sun all day
- Arrive early: Quieter in the morning
- Pack water shoes: Concrete gets hot
- Bring your own snacks: Food is pricey inside

Final Thoughts
Tsilivi Water Park is an okay day out if you’re in Zakynthos and want a water park experience. It’s nothing special compared to larger parks in Cyprus, Spain, or Florida, but kids will still have fun.
The limited wave pool times and small lazy river were disappointing. Height restrictions meant younger children missed out on half the attractions. If I visited Zante again, I’d try the other water park instead.
Worth a visit if you’ve got a day to fill, but don’t expect world-class facilities. It’s a small, basic water park that does the job without being particularly memorable.
