ad. Christmas is coming and if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably been eyeing up all the advent calendars hitting the shelves. I’m not going to lie, I get a bit excited about advent calendars. There’s something about opening a little door each day that makes December feel special, even if you’re just discovering yet another miniature shower gel!

This year, I’ve been checking out the Ted Baker 24 Days Of Essentials Advent Calendar for the men in my life. With so many grooming advent calendars out there, I wanted to see if this one was actually worth the money or if it’s just another gimmick wrapped in pretty packaging.

What Is The Ted Baker 24 Days Of Essentials Advent Calendar?

The Ted Baker 24 Days Of Essentials Advent Calendar is exactly what it sounds like – 24 days of male grooming essentials hidden behind numbered doors. It’s designed for men who appreciate quality grooming products but maybe don’t want to spend hours researching what to buy.

What’s Inside The Calendar?

This is the bit everyone wants to know, right? What are you actually getting for your money?

Here’s the full list of what’s inside the Ted Baker 24 Days Of Essentials Advent Calendar:

What I really like is that it’s not all tiny sample sizes. You’re getting proper 50ml products, three decent-sized cleansing bars (80g each), and even a full-size 250ml hair and body wash. That’s actually brilliant value when you think about it.

The products are all vegan-friendly too, which is brilliant if you’re trying to be more conscious about what you’re buying. It’s nice to see brands making this effort without making a massive fuss about it.

The Packaging

Let’s be honest – half the appeal of an advent calendar is the packaging. This one comes in a reusable keepsake tin with Ted Baker’s signature stylish design. It’s not one of those cheap cardboard calendars that fall apart after the first week.

The tin is actually quite nice and could be reused for storing bits and bobs afterwards. I’m always a fan of packaging that doesn’t just end up in the bin on Boxing Day.

It’s in two layers, so after you’ve opened the first doors, you just remove the cardboard to reveal the next set!

How Much Does It Cost?

You can buy the Ted Baker 24 Days Of Essentials Advent Calendar at Boots, it’s £46. But don’t forget to look out for black friday deals!

Is it expensive for an Advent calendar? Well, that depends on how you look at it. If you were to buy all these products separately, you’d definitely pay more. Plus, you’re getting to try a range of products without committing to full-sized versions of everything.

Who Is It For?

This calendar is aimed at modern gentlemen who appreciate quality grooming products. It’s perfect for:

  • Someone who’s into their grooming routine but needs some new products to try
  • A partner who you want to treat but aren’t sure what specific products to buy
  • Anyone who likes the idea of a daily surprise throughout December
  • Men who are trying to build up their grooming collection

I think it would make a lovely gift, especially if you’re stuck for ideas. It’s much more thoughtful than just grabbing a random shower gel set from the supermarket.

Is It Worth Buying?

Right, time for some honesty. Is the Ted Baker 24 Days Of Essentials Advent Calendar worth your money?

I’d say yes, but with a couple of caveats.

The Good Stuff:

The variety is brilliant. You’re getting to try different products without having to buy full-sized versions of everything. The mix of deluxe and full-sized items means you’re actually getting decent value. The fact that everything is vegan-friendly is a bonus. The packaging is lovely and reusable.

You may be tempted to save some of the smaller items for travels, but I find just using them as normal is a great way to use them up, plus it saves you money on buying health and beauty products for a few months!

The Not-So-Good:

The price might put some people off, especially if you’re on a tight budget. If you or the person you’re buying for already has a solid grooming routine with favourite products, this might just add to the clutter.

For me, the value is there. If you were to buy even half of these products individually, you’d spend more than the cost of the calendar. Plus, there’s the fun factor of opening something new each day in December.

Where Can You Buy It?

The Ted Baker 24 Days Of Essentials Advent Calendar is available at Boots.

Stock can run out quite quickly with advent calendars, especially the popular ones, so if you’re interested I’d say don’t leave it too late. There’s nothing worse than seeing a calendar you wanted to buy showing as “out of stock” when you finally get around to ordering it!

My Final Thoughts

Look, I’m not going to pretend this is a life-changing purchase. It’s an advent calendar full of grooming products. But if you’re looking for a thoughtful gift for a man in your life who appreciates good grooming products, or if you fancy treating yourself to some new bits to try, I think it’s a solid choice.

The mix of products is well thought out, the packaging is lovely, and the vegan-friendly formula means you can feel good about what you’re buying. Yes, it’s more expensive than your average chocolate advent calendar, but you’re getting actual products you’ll use rather than 24 days of sugar.

Would I buy it again? Probably, especially as a gift. The presentation is spot-on and the variety of products means there’s something for everyone, whether they’re into skincare, haircare, or beard maintenance.

If you’ve been eyeing this calendar up, I’d say go for it. Just maybe shop around for the best price first!
