PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA. Tasty Sweet Pizza. That was probably my favourite thing as a student. We used to get these really large pizzas that needed two hands to eat. They were really cheap from the local takeaways in Bradford. We could get 2 large pizzas and garlic bread and it would feed all 8 of us.
When Curry’s invited me to do a recipe for their Student Cookbook that they are releasing in September, I thought a massive Pizza cookie would be a great way to either win over new flatmates or impress those you haven’t seen all summer with your newfound mad cooking skillz, yo!
I managed to even source a real Pizza box to put it inside!
Sweet Pizza
Cooking the base:
You’ll need:
115g unsalted butter
200g caster sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
225g plain flower
1 tsp baking soda
How to cook the base:
Pre-heat oven to 175c/gas mark 4 and line a pizza tray or baking sheet with baking paper.
- Beat the butter and caster sugar together, then add the egg and vanilla essence.
- Sift the flower and bicarbonate of soda into the mixture.
- Spread the dough onto the pizza tray or baking sheet.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow cookie to cool.
Topping:
200g chocolate
1 tube smarties
Mini marshmallows
Simply melt the chocolate and spread the chocolate over the cookie and then sprinkle the smarties and marshmallows over the top.
You can use anything as a topping – Reese’s pieces, fudge chunks, chocolate chips, brownie chunks – so go on and create a delightful treat for your friends to enjoy!
What would you put on top of your sweet pizza?
Check out my rocky road!

That is so cute!!!
My little brother is heading off to uni this year & has been making my mum write a cook book with all the family recipes in it. He’s going to be in London with a £12.50 a week budget so he’s freaking out a bit 🙂 it’s kind of adorable even though I know I’m going to have to send him money all the time :S

I basically lived on Tesco value noodles, value tuna and apples when I was at uni!
This looks awesome! My boyfriend is a pizza obsessive too and I bought him a solid chocolate pizza for Christmas. I need to get him to make this with me.

that is amazing. I want to try to make it, but at the same time I don’t in case I manage to make one that tastes as amazing as that looks and promptly gain a couple of stone from eating cookie pizza every day :p.
I never really learned to cook at during my undergrad, I was too scared to try! Then again I have never, ever, gotten along with electric hobs, which I seem to be stuck with a lot, so it’s my george foreman and microwave for me (the microwave does have grill and convection settings to be fair!)
haha, make it when you know that you’ll be sharing it 🙂 no stones need to be gained!
I never learnt to cook either. it scares me to be honest so i’m proper out of my comfort zone here.
YUM! i love pizza and this dessert pizza looks like an amazing take on it. i am definitely going to give it a shot. really cute how you put it in the pizza box!!

Marshmallows, bananas and walnuts. I’ve thought about this too much! Being lazy I’d probably just use Nutella rather than melt chocolate.
