Styling My Welsh Dresser for Spring

ad. Does your Welsh dresser feel dull and outdated? The one in our kitchen does! The previous owners left it, and it looked a bit tired. But a bit of spring styling brought my kitchen-diner back to life. Styling a Welsh dresser for Easter is a great way to get in the spirit for spring. I just love spring – it’s my favourite season and I’m trying to get more pastels, tulips and even Easter candles into my home!

Our Welsh dresser is a light yellow, which I wasn’t fond of at first, but I’ve grown to love it. I have toyed with the idea of painting it, but I actually love how well it goes with our farmhouse style kitchen.

​Remember to make use of high variations. I like to group things together in about 3 items, each with different heights. If you put everything the same height, it can look a bit odd. Try things like candles, vases or photos for extra height. If you are struggling with this, you can put things on top of books to lift them up. 

You can see how the middle shelf is on my Welsh dresser, probably needs something taller and pink to the left, as it’s lacking in height variations.
