Being in the heart of the Shambles, you would expect the Shambles Tavern York to be full of tourists. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it’s actually quite a big pub that wasn’t that busy when we went on a Saturday afternoon.
There’s plenty of Yorkshire beer and ales to pick from in the Shambles Tavern. They have taster selections if you are unable to pick just one.
Though we didn’t eat here, they do serve breakfast and typical English pub lunch food.
Next time you’re wandering down the Shambles, pop in.
We have been a few times and have been able to get a seat in the back. First impressions tell you that Shambles Tavern York doesn’t have anywhere to sit, but there has always been room for us! There is also an outdoor seating area
