Hello friends! September’s Degustabox has arrived and it’s a really nice one this month. A good mix of quick meals, drinks and store cupboard bits. Let me show you what was in it.
Just a quick heads up before we get into it — there are a couple of products in this box I’m not able to feature due to HFSS advertising regulations, so this isn’t everything that came. But there’s still plenty to talk about!

Maggi Global Kitchen – Mushroom Risotto with Chicken
I ate this one evening when my husband was working and I needed something quick and easy. Two minutes in the microwave and it was done — brown rice in a creamy mushroom sauce with chicken and herbs. It was genuinely filling and really tasty, which is not something I always expect from a ready meal. I’d absolutely buy this again. The range has six dishes in total so I’m curious to try some of the others too.

Homepride – Marry Me Chicken Pasta Bake Sauce
I’m not usually a pasta bake person but I gave this one a go and I’m glad I did. It’s a creamy sauce with sundried tomatoes and herbs and it was dead quick to put together. The bit that sold me was not having to boil the pasta first — you just chuck it in and let the sauce do its thing. It was really comforting and flavoursome and I’ve already bought another one since. High praise from someone who didn’t think pasta bakes were really her thing!

VOSS – Lime & Mint Sparkling Water
This is a lovely drink. Lime and mint is such a good combination and VOSS have got the balance just right here — it’s subtle and refreshing rather than overwhelming. Zero calories, no artificial sweeteners, no nasties. It feels a bit more grown up than your average flavoured water and it’s a really nice alternative to fizzy drinks. I’d happily keep these in the fridge.

Rubicon – Cherry Burst
I’m a big Rubicon fan so I was pleased to see this in the box. Cherry Burst is a sparkling blend of cherry and peach and it’s a proper bold, fruity drink. Best served cold over ice and it really does taste like a late summer treat. Really good flavour on this one.

Fruit Bowl – Peelers
These went down a storm with my five-year-old, which is really the only endorsement you need. Made with real fruit, one of your five a day, gluten free and under 100 calories. They’re brilliant for lunchboxes and he kept asking for more which is always a good sign. A handy snack to have in the cupboard.

Paxo – Golden Breadcrumbs
I haven’t tried these yet but they’re going straight into the store cupboard rotation. The resealable drum is really practical — no wasted breadcrumbs, no having to use the whole thing at once. I can see these being really useful for midweek dinners when I want to add a bit of crunch to fish or chicken without any real effort. Will report back!

KO-LEE – Thai Sensation Instant Noodles
My husband tried these and was really impressed. They come in Thai Green Curry, Red Curry and Massaman flavours, made with just hot water and ready in minutes. He said they tasted properly authentic rather than like a bog-standard pot noodle. Made in Thailand and palm oil free too. A good fakeaway fix on a busy night.
A solid September box! The Maggi risotto and the Homepride pasta bake sauce were the two that really stood out for me this month — both are going on the regular shopping list.
