My New Simba Hybrid Duvet & Pillows 

I love a new duvet – we’ve had our current one for a long time now so it’s time for a change. I’ve just got new duvet cover set so now it’s time for a new quilt and pillows. The Simba Hybrid® Duvet is a great choice for many, I’ll tell you why in a bit. I also got two hybrid pillows to go with it.

Stratos temperature control

The Simba Hybrid Duvet has Stratos® temperature control technology that adjusts to your body heat so you stay comfy all night long. If you find yourself overheating, Stratos® will remove excess warmth away from your body. On cooler nights, it retains just enough heat to keep you snug without causing night sweats. The outer layer uses Stratos technology, inspired by space suits, to actively regulate your body heat. This means on colder nights, it traps warmth, and on warmer nights, it dissipates excess heat away from your body keeping you at the perfect temperature. It’s ideal for those who have trouble maintaining a constant body temperature at night.

It has square pockets across the duvet to stop the filling from clumping together, so it’s warm and comfortable all over. I love how this duvet adapts to ensure your sleep is undisturbed by temperature swings. Especially as I’m usually too cold at night and my husband gets too hot and sometimes gets night sweats. So it’s great for both hot sleepers and those that feel the cold. My first impression of the duvet was that it’s so soft and comfortable! 

It has a tog rating of 10.5 so it’s great for summer or winter months.  

Sustainable materials

The Simba Hybrid Duvet is eco-friendly, using sustainable Simba Renew Bio™ filling. This material comes from 100% reused plastic bottles, making each duvet a win for the planet. They even pack it in a 100% recycled storage container and use 50% recycled wrapping to keep everything as green as possible. Plus, it’s biodegradable under ASTM conditions. The use of recycled PET bottle fibres is a nod towards sustainable practices in their supply chain

The stuffing is also good for people with allergies or sensitive skin because it doesn’t contain any animal products or harmful substances.

The duvet also supports the Better Cotton Initiative which aims to improve global cotton farming practices. So you can sleep even better at night knowing you’re helping make a difference in the world’s environmental health and supporting ethical agriculture practices.

Cleaning

Cleaning this duvet is straightforward thanks to its durable construction. You can wash it at home in the washing machine without worrying about damage or losing shape. Its quality materials ensure it comes out of the wash looking as good as new, ready to snuggle into again. It dries quicker than normal duvets, too. 

Simba Hybrid Pillow

The hybrid pillow pairs perfectly with the Simba duvet. The best thing about the Simba pillows is that they are adjustable thanks to the Nanocube® technology. There’s a knitted, zipped inner bag full of tiny foam cubes. You can remove some of this super-soft filling to adjust the height of the pillow, making it the perfect pillow for everyone. 

The pillow also features the same Stratos® temperature control as the duvet, the active temperature regulation is great for keeping you at the perfect temperature so there’ll be no flipping the pillow in the middle of the night to find the cool side. 

Not only is the pillow really comfortable, but it’s sustainable, too. The Nanocube® inner core is CertiPUR® certified, so it’s free from TCPP and other environmentally damaging pollutants but exceeds all fire safety regulations.  Simba Renew Bio™ is made from recycled PET bottle fibres, so it’s a renewable resource. But it also has the ability to biodegrade.

We love this duvet, it’s probably one of the best duvets we’ve had. The first thing I noticed is how soft and it feels luxurious like you’re in a posh hotel. It’s very plump and makes the bed look so comfortable. I love how it can be used as a summer duvet for warmer weather and a winter duvet for cold winter nights. I also love how it’s machine washable, making it easy to keep clean. After trying this, I can see how it’s much better to buy a higher quality one instead of a cheaper duvet.
