Hey hey, how many of you lot have watched From? As in, the TV show From. I love it so much, it’s a binge-worthy TV show with so any unanswered questions. Season 3 of From left us with another cliffhanger. So let’s look at the most popular fan theories, from past lives to time-travelling ponds.

The Reincarnation Theory

Could the Boy in White be tied to past lives or forgotten connections?

Tabitha’s Vision and Its Hidden Meaning

Tabitha’s vision seems to hold secrets about the true nature of Fromville. She sees trapped children in a dark, haunting space. These children could be victims of supernatural forces tied to the town’s origins or a sign of time-traveling gone wrong.

Some fans suggest these kids represent past lives or souls unable to move on. This theory connects with Tabitha Matthews’ personal journey and her link to other characters like Victor’s mother. The imagery might also hint at eternal life granted by evil spirits—though at a great cost.

The vision raises questions about the ghoulish children and their purpose within the story. Could they be communicating warnings? Or are they linked to those eerie bottle trees seen throughout the show? “There is no way out,” one child says in whispers during her dream—a chilling clue about what holds everyone captive in this mysterious place.

What we do know is that Tabitha and Jade had a child together in a past live – one of the ghoulish children is that daughter. Tabitha and Jade did not agree to the sacrifice of the children in exchange for eternal life, and they are somehow being brought back to this place to remember – one time Tabitha came back as Victor’s mother.

Fans speculate that Tabitha’s role may involve uncovering how faraway trees work as portals between dimensions, tying into popular fan theories on Reddit about alternate realities colliding inside this cursed small town….

The Boy in White and Jasper as Linked Entities

The Boy in White seems tied to Jasper, hinting at a deeper connection. Both characters share mysterious roles in the town’s timeline and origins. Some fans on Reddit suggest the Boy might represent innocence or a guide, while Jasper could be his opposite—darkness or chaos.

Their appearances often spark cryptic events that move the story forward. Many wonder if they exist outside time like Victor’s father hinted earlier.

Could they reflect two sides of one entity? The strange happenings around them feel planned, almost purposeful. The boy prompts actions with unclear motives, while Jasper carries darker energy linked to past tragedies.

This popular theory explores their roles as supernatural forces shaping Fromville’s fate—both now and possibly across previous seasons too!

The Lost Colony of Roanoke Connection

The Town’s Possible Historical Ties

Some fans suggest the town could link to the Lost Colony of Roanoke. The mysterious disappearance of settlers in 1590 has similarities with From’s vanishing people and eerie atmosphere.

The show’s history hints at deep, dark roots that might connect events from centuries ago to present-day timelines.

Bottle trees scattered across the area may hold more clues. These objects have ties to folklore about trapping spirits or protecting communities from evil entities like faeries or ghoulish children.

Their cryptic numbers might reveal a hidden code tied to past lives or fallen townsfolk who vanished during fateful nights long ago.

The Bottle Trees and Their Cryptic Numbers

The bottle trees hold a strange mystery. Glass bottles hang on branches, each marked with odd, cryptic numbers. Some fans connect these to the lost colony of Roanoke or time travel theories.

Others speculate the numbers link specific individuals to their fates in Fromville. Could they track victims of the ghoulish children or evil faeries? Many popular fan theories tie them to origins of the town and dark secrets hidden there.

We find out in the last episode of Season 3 that they represent notes in music to play a song. This song summons the children, but we are still unclear of it’s relevance.

Monsters in Fromville

The Music Box Monster’s True Origin

The Music Box Monster might link to Victor’s past. Some fan theories suggest it appeared after his mother disappeared. Many fans think the creature feeds on emotions, especially fear and grief.

Others point to its connection with the young girl seen during Victor’s flashback. The eerie music could symbolise control or manipulation by this evil entity. This raises compelling questions about whether the monster has roots in a real-world event or something more supernatural.

Are the Ghoulish Children Communicating?

Ghoulish children in Fromville seem to act with purpose. Their eerie actions make fans wonder if they share a secret link. A popular fan theory suggests these kids might communicate through thoughts or even the strange symbols found across the town.

Victor’s mother might hold clues to their true nature. Some say she could have been part of this ghostly group as a child. The cryptic whispers near bottle trees also hint at hidden messages, adding more mystery.

Could these children tie into time travel or alternate realities? Fans are eager for answers in the next season.

Time Travel and Alternate Realities

Faraway Trees as Dimensional Portals

The faraway trees might be connected to time travel and alternate realities in the show “From”. Some fans suggest they function as dimensional gateways—a means for characters to move between places or even timelines without being aware of it.

Scenes featuring fallen tree paths and concealed spaces suggest deeper mysteries tied to their role. This notion is reinforced by Victor’s mother’s story and peculiar occurrences near these locations.

Characters like Jade Herrera could uncover how these gateways operate. His visions might connect him directly to the town’s timeline shifts. Tabitha also plays an interesting role by exploring areas marked by such trees just before significant events occur.

It could be that these gateways provide an explanation for the absence of a clear route back home season after season! Numerous hints suggest the existence of time loops surrounding them, leaving viewers speculating about their true purpose within the enigmatic forest paths encircling Fromville for eternity.

Tabitha and Jade’s Unique Roles in the Timeline

Tabitha’s connection to Fromville seems tied to her past life or “reincarnation” theories. Her visions, especially involving the root cellar and the ghoulish children, hint at her being a key to decoding the town’s true nature.

She may play a central role in linking timelines or breaking loops.

Jade investigates symbols and history obsessively. His discovery of Civil War soldier drawings could suggest time travel or alternate realities. Both characters might have crossed into this world for specific reasons linked to their own children—or even Victor’s mother and father—creating more questions about From’s timeline mysteries.

Unsolved mysteries

  • Elgin – had prophetic dreams about their arrival before. Has visions and is visited by the women in the kimono.
  • Sarah – why does she hear voices?
  • Julie – why is she a story walker, is it connected to her being Tabithas daughter?
  • Marielle – Julie and Randall are having disturbing things happening after they fell asleep and were chained in the tower – she seems to be hiding her struggles.
  • Eloise – is she actually dead? Victor could only find bits of her that he believed was her.
  • Who is the man in yellow?
  • How did Fatima get pregnant?
  • What’s the deal with the jukeboxes in the diner?

Conclusion

There are numerous mysteries surrounding the entire story. We will see more of young Tabitha next season when Julie time travels. Will we find out who the lady visiting Elgin was, and what part she plays? What is the true nature of the town and who is controlling it? The man in yellow seems like he could play a big part in this.

It seems that for now, the anghkooey children are good – but wanting help from Tabitha and Jade. Fatima being pregnant with Smiley shows that the promise of eternal life runs deep. There are still so many intriguing mysteries. My guess is next season will centre a lot around Julie trying to save Jim – but Ethan said story walkers cannot change the past, they can only observe.
