AD| It can happen to anyone, and it can happen to you — you eat too much of Mom’s cooking, overindulge on sweets or have one too many cocktails and suddenly, you look as if you’re expecting. Not only that, but you’re uncomfortable, in pain and possibly a bit gassy. You’re bloated. While occasional bloat is normal, frequent or chronic bloating may be a sign that it’s time to reevaluate your lifestyle and make some positive changes. Explore the reasons for gas and bloating below, along with ways you can reset your gut and get back on track.

Reduce Your Bloating

Why Do I Have Gas & Bloating?

More often than not, gas and bloating stem from what and the way you eat. Though bloating could be a sign of a more serious medical issue, the most common culprits are as follows:

  • Overeating
  • Eating too quickly
  • Eating a diet high in sodium and starches
  • Living with an undiagnosed food intolerance
  • Drinking too much soda, beer, wine or alcohol
  • Drinking too much dairy
  • Eating foods high in fat
  • Eating foods that cause gas

Some other, non-food-related reasons for bloating and gas may include menstruation, smoking, indigestion, constipation and weight gain.

Best Ways To Get Rid of The Bloat

If you can pinpoint what is causing your discomfort, the surest way to alleviate it is by eliminating the culprit. However, if you cannot identify the cause, you may want to start with a detox for gas and bloating. Once you detox your system, slowly add the foods and beverages you enjoy back into your diet. If one triggers bloating, nix it from your diet or, at the very least, consume it seldomly.

There are other things you can do for long-term relief from bloating and gas. Those include drinking water instead of soda, eating at regular intervals, doing something active each day, minimizing dairy intake, taking probiotics and cutting down on salt. SIBO Survivor shows that a 15 minutes abdominal massage will do wonders for bloating. Say, though, that you want quick relief. Some ways to achieve rapid relief from bloating are as follows:

  • Get Moving: You can speed up the rate at which your digestive tract works by going for a walk, doing some jumping jacks or having a dance party. The movement will release excess gas and stool and help you feel right in no time.
  • Do Some Yoga: There are certain yoga poses, such as the child’s pose and happy baby pose, that position the abdominal muscles in such a way as to encourage the release of gas and stool.
  • Take a Warm Bath: A warm bath can help the body relax and wash away stress. Sometimes stress can cause constipation, so if it’s the culprit, a warm bath may be just what you need to trigger the GI tract and ease bloating.
  • Reset Your Gut: A gut detox, such as Polisorb gut reset, can help you reset your gut health in a matter of days and maintain optimal function. For real results in as little as four hours, consider a Mega Clean detox drink, all of which are designed for high toxicity levels.

Bloating can be uncomfortable and a huge source of frustration. However, when you stock your cabinets with gut detoxes and Mega Clean detox drinks, you can experience rapid relief and, better yet, reset your gut health for long-term results.
