I have to admit, I do have a love and hate relationship with Pinterest! As my main goal of using Pinterest is to get traffic from my blog, I’ve felt disappointed by the recent changes that make it harder to get views from Pinterest. I haven’t been spending as much time on Pinterest as I’ve been working on other things that are showing me results, such as my blog SEO plan.
That’s not to say that I’m ignoring Pinterest altogether, I’m just spending much less time on there. This is where free pin templates may be useful for you! As you can quickly create pins and edit the same templates for different posts to save you some time.

5 reasons to use Pinterest templates
You might be wondering why you should be using Pinterest templates when you can make them yourself? Here are some reasons why you should use Pinterest templates to help be more efficient at blogging.
Saves you time
The best reason for using free pin templates is that it saves you time. Listen, Pinterest is terrible lately. They are trying to keep people on Pinterest which means it’s much harder to get traffic to your site. Pinterest boost pins that don’t require users to click through to get the information they search for. Such as video or idea pins that keep people on Pinterest.
They also favour pins that use the pin scheduler tool within Pinterest. This means that the quick and easy pin schedulers such as Tailwind are not worth paying for. This is sad because Tailwind is a fantastic tool. Or was. It’s just now that Pinterest what you to use their website. They will not show Pins scheduled within other schedulers as much as other pins. This means you will see a drop in monthly views and engagement.
Pinterest’s scheduler is pants. It’s slow to use, you can’t edit your scheduled pins. Also, you can’t schedule multiple pins at once. It is a case of having to schedule pin by pin. It’s slowwwwwww.
So, using pin templates means you can save a bit of time somewhere!
Coordinates your Pintest account
If personal branding is important to you, then having similar pints that use the same colours and fonts might be exactly what you are looking for. Having a pack of pin templates that you use will help you stay consistent across your boards.
It will also make you recognisable to others if you have consistent branding.
Pinterest loves fresh pins
Using templates is a great way to get more pins so you can keep publishing fresh pins. You shouldn’t use the same pins over and over again, which was done in the past. You need fresh pins others Pinterest will not show your pins as much.
You can use templates and just change the colours, fonts, images, even drag text boxes around to create fresh pins out of your pin templates.

More clicks
Having beautiful pins is one of the best ways to get more clicks on your pins! So use beautiful pin templates that you love and I am sure other people will love them too!
Inspires your own creativity
Using free pin templates or even ones you have paid for can inspire your own creativity. Seeing what fonts work well together and where things look good on the pin can help you when you create your own pins from scratch!
If you are interested in buying templates, you can get some lovely ones from Etsy.

I’ve been debating with myself about revamping my Pinterest because it doesn’t really inspire me at the moment. Thanks for the info and template ideas, this has definitely helped me figure out what direction I want to go in with it all!
I’ve already signed up to your list and I’ve used one of the templates, love them! Pinterest is a real pain at the moment, nothing seems to work for me :/ x
Template packs are a big help to me, as I tend to be a little inconsistent when it comes to designing pins. I have been trying to use the same fonts consistently, but ultimately I end up with something not as similar to previous designs I have made.
I look forward to using your templates and trying out a more consistent theme!
Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Hi Corinne
Thank you for your tips and templates. Pinterest is not something that I excel at so any help that I can get is much appreciated. 🙂
Thanks for this. I’ve only just started using Tailwind and didn’t know that Pinterest treats pins from there like this… is it still worth using Tailwind do you think?!
I use Pinterest templates too but sadly, my canva isn’t on premium so the designs are limited. I agree with your reasons — saves time and coordinates with your brand. Thanks for sharing!
I just started doing this because I always waste a lot of time. So this saves me time. Thank you for sharing!
Pinterest templates saves time. And I agree Pinterest has been somehow lately, you barely get clicks to your site unlike before. I’m still using Pinterest regardless because it’s my biggest source of traffic as I’ve been struggling with SEO. Thanks for sharing your Pinterest templates
It’s a shame pinterest isn’t as good to use as it once was! I never signed up for it as I just haven’t had the time, despite everyone saying how good it is. My blog i just a hobby so I’m not fussed about getting a ton of views, I just have fun putting them together and visiting other bloggers 🙂
it’s so good you’ve found templates make things a little easier even if it wasn’t as good as it was before.
Hope you are having a great weekend 🙂 We had a fun day out yesterday with family 🙂
Great that you shared fresh pins. I really find Canva tricky but am persevering and trying to become regular.
Pinterest at the end of last year and half of this year worked so well for me. I was on 9.6 million and it was driving so much traffic and then they changed their algorithm and it just ruined it. So I have taken a break. Thank you for sharing these templates though. They make making pins so much easier and faster.
Love these pinterest tips! I haven’t tried much of it yet but I definitely know to read this again if I want to start 🙂
This is helpful as I really need to get into pinterest. Love you blog.
Templates are a HUGE time-saver! I have been designing some for my Etsy shop. This is a great post!
Thank you for this post.
I’m slacking with Pinterest at the moment cos it’s hardwork. Templates would make my life much easier, so I will sign up now! X
Why thank you so much! I’m pretty new at this still. Appreciate this post.
