New bathroom mirror, only a year later..

It’s only taken us a year but we’ve finally got a mirror in the house bathroom!

Pretty soon after we moved in, we put a mirrored cabinet in the ensuite bathroom but this one got forgotten about. As time has gone on, I’ve come to prefer using the house bathroom over the ensuite. I just don’t like how enclosed the ensuite is, this is much more spacious. I also really dislike the rainfall showerhead which is a surprise as it’s the thing I was looking forward to the most in the house!

I’ve spent a lot of time in here since being pregnant, mostly in the bath as I struggled to stand and shower when I was really ill (warm baths, of course, hot ones are a no-no with a baby on board) and found it a good way to kill a bit of time by sitting in the bath eating an ice-lolly and apple while watching pregnancy vlogs on YouTube. Yup, that is what I was doing.

A few weeks ago I decided to treat myself to some Liz Earle skincare because I’d not been looking after myself at all. This was in an effort to start getting into a routine of looking after my skin and getting dressed daily, rather than just going from one set of pyjamas to another.

This is when I started to really feel the absence of the mirror. I’ve been looking for a while but couldn’t find anything that was quite right. It’s a small space so I didn’t want anything too big. Then, when searching on Dunelm I found one that I loved. Even better, it was only £30!

It wasn’t available for delivery so I had to order it on Click and collet but was able to get it the next day. They have a queue just for click and collect outside and they go and fetch it for you, so you don’t have to actually go inside the store. Although it was really quiet when I went so I had a look around and treated myself to some new towels and bath mat.

I’m really happy with how it looks now.
