Well, the last week and a half has been a bit mental for the blogging community, hasn’t it? The whole Pipdig scenario is a bit of a mess. I changed my blog theme last Saturday after hearing about the allegations of hidden codes, kill switches, blogs being intentionally slowed down and attacking other websites. I can’t pretend I know what I am talking about when it comes to code, because I don’t – but it’s just not a chance I wanted to take on my website.
There was a lot, and are still a lot, of bloggers on Twitter refusing to change their theme because they paid for it and can’t afford a new one. There are 1000’s of free themes out there. Yes, it can be a hassle to install and sort out a new one (heck, I had to do it 3 times with my 3 websites), but if you ever think your blog could be under any threat, why risk it?
I’ve gone to the trouble of searching for 9 blog themes that I think are delicious. Some of them look similar to Pipdig themes, too. These are all free WordPress themes, though you can upgrade to premium if you like it and want a few extra features. Check them out and be safe!
Finding templates that I like for WordPress is honestly so hard. Thanks for the suggestions
