This museum was only 10 minutes away from where we were staying in Point Cook. It’s worth spending an afternoon here and remind yourself how much Australia and it’s citizens were involved in wars. That’s something that has surprised me about all 3 museums I visited in Melbourne – it’s not something you often think about – the other counties also burdened and devastated by our wars.
It’s fab if you love aircraft as it has 4 hangers full of old planes, engines and more. There’s so much history in the museum and lots of things to look at and learn.
Don’t forget to take your ID if you go! You need it to get in, even though entry is free.

Oh wow, I’m going to have to add this to my list of places to see next time we are in Melbourne – my boys love planes and would love to see these! It’s funny as I was just trying to figure out a time I could go to the museum at Brisbane as there’s an exhibition on I’d love to see and it’s kid friendly. Not sure if they have anything plane related though, our war museum is a small one under the memorial.
