Hello from Zante!

Last Wednesday, I said and long hard goodbye to my boyfriend and drove to my parents house for an early flight to Zante on Thursday morning.

We had to leave at 3am to get to East Midlands for a 6:30am flight. It was as gross as it sounds. Actually, it was even grosser because I’ve never known an airport so busy. By the time we got checked in and through the massive security queue, it was a mad dash to our gate as the plane was boarding.

The flight wasn’t too bad, but my ears hurt on the way back down to earth.

Something weird happened when we got to Zante airport. We went to the Thomas Cook reps for our coach number, but they had ordered us a taxi instead. It was pretty brill as it only took 10 minutes to get to the hotel.

We got to the hotel and my parents were shown my room and then I was taken to mine, I passed my brother, his wife and kids on the way to my room as they arrived a couple hours earlier.

My room is EPIC. It looks onto the pool and is close to the pool bar. It looks like it’s been newly redecorated as everything is modern and it has one of those massive flat shower heads. I’m in love. My from is better than my parents and my brothers. Yay. I ALSO HAVE GREAT WIFI SIGNAL.

We had a good few hours by the pool on Thursday as we got to the hotel at around 1:30pm. Then we showered and went to a restaurant called Green Frog and I had massive king prawns that were wonderful but a pain to eat.

We were all pretty tired from the early morning so we got an early night.

On Friday, we had a few hours by the pool and then walked down to a beach bar. The water was lovely and clear. We snorkelled, swam and enjoyed the sun. We managed to reserve some sunbeds for Saturday and we’re going to spend the full day there.

That brings me to where I am now, as I type this. It’s Friday evening and we’re about to go out to a Mediterranean Cuisine place called Anadalis.

I’ll let you know how it is. Here are my photos to be jealous of:

  3. I went to Zante almost 10 years ago now, it was club 18-30, and lets just say the hotel was no where near as nice as yours, it was traumatic lol, you look like you are having an amazing time though!

  4. I had no idea where Zante is so I Googled it – a Greek Island in the Ionian Sea?
(as if I have a clue where the Ionian sea is).
The hotel, epic bedroom, pool and seashore all look lovely! I hope your cruise is going fabulously. 🙂
