On the 5th day, we got into Disneyland at about 11am. Our plan was to go around both parks and do everything we hadn’t already.

Crush’s Coaster

We had to cue for about an hour and 15 minutes for this ride, but every time we went, the queue was the same length so we just went for it.

It was actually really good! It’s an indoor ride in the dark. The carts turn around so sometimes you’re going backwards. There’s a few drops but it’s nothing too scary – the scariest part is that you don’t know what’s coming up.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

This is another one I wimped out of.

It goes up to 100km/hr in less than three seconds and is the fastest roller coaster in the park.

When you go through and queue up, you can see people setting off.

There’s a countdown and then the coaster shoots them off so fast, you can hear them all scream. It seems terrifying.

It has corkscrews in it but it goes so fast you can barely tell which way around you are. It’s so much fun though, I thought I would hate it. I was hard to keep my head still though and I got really banged about on it!

We were lucky to catch a parade just before it was starting so we got to the front. A few characters came into the centre and then walked around taking photos and signing autographs.

At one point, Woody stole Caroline’s phone which had the selfie stick on and started taking photos of himself. Funny.

We then went over into Disneyland Park to finish some things we hadn’t managed to do over there.

We went to the Frozen Singalong Show. Which is a short show around 30 minutes where the characters from Frozen come on and sing their songs, with lyrics on the screen in the background and encourage you to sing along.

At the end, there’s fake snow that drops down on the audience. MAGIC.

Autopia

Autopia is a race car ride where you control the speed and direction yourself. The car is on a track so you can’t veer far away from it.

Christine and I basically spent the whole ride trying to bump into Caroline and Stephanie.

We then saw a parade, again we got a pretty decent spot at the front so was able to get some good photos.

After the parade, we went on a few more rides:

Casey Jr

This is a roller coaster ride for kids, it’s the train from Dumbo and sings the song when going around. It’s a fun ride but like I said, for kids. So it’s not fast.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril.

I wimped out of this on the first day. The girls went on it and I didn’t. Feeling brave, I said I’d go on.

I only didn’t want to go on because of the loop! I hate going upside down.

I did go on this when I was 12 and went with school and remember not liking going upside down.

It wasn’t actually that bad and I’d do it again. It was over in no time at all.

After having a mooch around and a final look in the shops, we left Disney. We decided to go back to where our hotel was and have a look in the mall, then we went and got some food. I got this greek salad which didn’t have olives, sadly. The salad under is Caroline’s and I kind of wish I got that instead!

We went back to the hotel room and did a bit of parking.

The next day was our last 🙁

  4. It looks like an amazing trip – I loved Indiana Jones backwards. We had gone with another family to Paris and their youngest was about 1cm too short to go on. My Mum immediately volunteered to stay with him 😀
