My 5 Favourite Quotes

quoteintro

I do love a good quote! Lately, more than usual.

I’ve been Pinteresting a lot of quote lately and wanted to share with you all my favourite ones.

quote1

Never stop being your best just because someone doesn’t give you credit.

I am the type of person who thrives on praise and quivers under criticism. This means that if I work hard but get no recognition, I can often feel like I’ve wasted my time. If I’m given some negative feedback, you’ve lost my buying and I’m likely to take my ball and go the fuck home.

It’s not the way I wish to be, I should always put my all into everything, even if nobody can see what I’ve achieved.

Your value doesn’t decrease based one someones inability to see your worth.

It can be interesting but also scary to see what can happen if we let other peoples feelings towards us get to us. Especially if we think highly of someone. It can be hard to forget that not everyone will realise how awesome we are. It doesn’t mean we’re not worth something.

What other people think is none of my business.

When you think too much about what other people think, you can drive yourself insane. You cannot change what people think or feel. It’s a waste of energy to try and change the mindset of someone. Being your best you is what you should aim for. Not matter what anyone else thinks.

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful what we pretend to be – Kurt Vonnegut.

I love this quote so much! A lot of people see themselves as someone who puts on an act, acts happier, confident and outgoing in front of people. I always wonder where the line is between acting who you are and being who you are. Surely if you can act confident, then you are confident? I think we are more of the person we pretend to be than we think.

My onlyMy only regret is that I didn’t tell enough people to fuck off.

Oh man. If I could go back to school.

  • The boy who used to sit in front of me in Geography and call me ugly EVERY SINGLE DAY for two years.
  • The girls that used to laugh at me and make a joke out of me constantly.
  • That girl that emotionally manipulated me, controlled me and made my life a misery.
  • The group of friends that were not really friends.
  • That girl that called me fat.
  • That boy that told me to ‘go home Corinne, because everyone hates you, nobody wants you to be here’.

Oh man oh man, what a field day I would have.
