On Tuesday, The Body Shop held a bloggers event to show off their new Christmas range.

I picked India up after work and we battled Leeds rush hour traffic to get to the event only 15 minutes late!

We were greeted with champagne and then introduced to the assistants who were available to chat to that evening.

There were loads of Christmas themed goodies – gift sets and new scents for the season.

The new scented products are:

  • Glazed Apple – a sweet apple scent.
  • Vanilla brûlée – which actually smells like creme brûlée. I may have wanted to scoop this up and put it in my mouth.
  • Frosted Cranberry.

My favourite, as you can probably guess from my IWANTTOEATIT statement, was the vanilla brûlée.

I knew that bodyshop did makeup, but I just didn’t realise how much!

I had their Instablur rubbed on my hand, which is a primer that blurs pores and prevents oil.

I also had the moisture foundation tested on my jaw which I ended up buying as I’ve been looking for one good for dry skin and after speaking to the assistant, she said it sounded great for my skin type. I’ll let you know if it passes the test!

When I was younger, I used the tea tree range from The Body Shop all the time. Since my skin is being a knob, I’ve been thinking about trying the range again as an adult so I knew I wanted to pick up some products from that range before I even entered the store.

I ended up with quite the haul of tea tree products, from toner to pore minimiser. Although that review will be for a different day. As soon as I’ve finished my current skin products, I’ll try this range!

After finding out about the products, chatting away and drinking champagne for a couple of hours, we went to the checkout and paid for our goods.

The sales assistants were all really helpful and knew a lot about the products, I’ve not been in The Body Shop for years and I didn’t realise how many different products they stock. They have something for every skin type and everything smells divine!

I’ll leave you with a few more photos!

  8. This sounds like such a lovely event!
I got the email with the new Christmas products today and I’m really curious about the Vanilla brulé ones! So wanna try them! I need to smell them all first though! (even though that IWANNAEATIT statement pretty much sold me!)
I can’t wait to read your review about the tea tree products, I have used quite a few but can’t wait to read about the ones I haven’t tried!
I think my favourite products from TBS are the instablur (best primer imo), the bbcream and the body moisturizers (especially the coconut one and more especially the glittery coconut one, which they never had in Spain and I think they don’t anymore in the UK)

  11. I do love the Body Shop. I use a combination of their Tea Tree range and the Seaweed range. I also buy the Instablur, because that’s a great primer for my skin.

I think I’ll try some of the body butters next time I go in there.
