Two sections I loved the most were the Subscription Service and the activity books which is what I selected.
Baby & Toddler Subscription Box
The book subscription box is a great way to get new books to your door each month. They contain 3-4 new books and activities such as colouring pages and worksheets. You can get different boxes for different ages up until the age of 10.
My toddler enjoyed opening his subscription box and exploring his new books! We got Where’s Mr King? Which is a felt flap book. He has another book from this series and he loves opening the flaps and seeing what is behind. Flap books are his favourite type of book!
We also got a smaller cardboard book that has different objects that are blue. This was another hit with my son as he was able to easily turn the pages and the size fit nicely in his hands.
The third book we got was Kipper’s Beach Ball. Leo won’t sit and let me read to him yet, so we had a quick flick through and looked at some of the pictures in the book. I can’t wait until he lets me read stories to him. I know many children his age love stories but my child is just not one of them!
There were also two worksheets, a dot-to-dot and a door sign to cut out. These are both a bit too old for Leo to use at the moment – it would have been nice to have something more age-appropriate. The box does cover a big age – from 0-3, so it would have been nice to have at least one of the sheets that were aimed at younger babies.
Despite that, this box was so much fun to get and we would love to get one every month, or even just a surprise one every now and then for a treat.
When I was younger, I loved activity books so I’ve always wanted to get some for Leo! Although he’s a little young yet, I’ve ordered some to put away for the next year or so. I got a selection of books to help him learn to write, as well as learn about numbers, letters and other things.
These are such good value for money! There are lots of activities to do here and I cannot wait to do this with Leo when he’s older!
I got a selection of magic painting books also, which I thought would be fun for Leo to play with. He isn’t a fan of drawing, colouring or painting at the moment so I knew this would be a quick and easy way of encouraging him to be creative.
All you need is water and a paintbrush. There’s no mess and the clean-up is easy, so it’s ideal for us when Leo will only sit for about 5 minutes doing an activity and then wants to move on! He enjoyed watching the colours change!
