Degustabox October 2023

ad. Ah, Degustabox. I honestly love getting this box of food every month. It’s like getting a little box of surprises. I like it even more when most of it is chocolate! Here’s what was in the October Degustabox.

Ah, Degustabox. I honestly love getting this box of food every month. It’s like getting a little box of surprises. I like it even more when most of it is chocolate! Here’s what was in the October Degustabox.

Chipoys Fire Red Hot tortilla chips

These are American rolled tortilla chips produced in Mexico with intense, authentic flavour and a real crunch. We haven’t opened these yet. I wasn’t a massive fan of the flavour we got in the previous box, the actual crisp tasted like cardboard so I don’t have high hopes!

Knorr Quick Soups

Knorr Quick Soups are ready in minutes, offering a convenient meal or snack – perfect for lunch, dinner, or whenever you feel like an easy, tasty treat. I love soup, especially in the wintertime. These littles soups are a nice snack when you’re craving something savoury in the wintertime. Yum!

Very Lazy Teriyaki Paste

This sweet and savoury paste is a simple addition to help you create delicious Teriyaki dishes in minutes. I marinated tofu in it and put it in the air fryer for a delicious meal.

New Tilda Sticky rice 250g

I love convenience rice, it’s great when you want a quick meal and Tilda is a brand we all know and love.

LoveRaw M:lk® Choc Peanut Butter Cups

Peanut Buttercups are delicious, one of my favourite items in the box this month! These are filled with smooth, creamy peanut butter and smothered in its iconic m:lk® choc. As with all LoveRaw products, the Peanut Butter Cups are free from palm oil and artificial ingredients.

Fruitrip Fruit Pureé Squeeze

This is such an interesting product! You can use it as a dessert, dressing, ice sorbet, cocktail base, or even as a topping. This is great for the upcoming Christmas season and I’m thinking of making some non-alcoholic cocktails with my non-alcoholic gin with it!

Caleño Tropical Non-alcoholic Pre-Mixed Cocktails

Caleño is a range of tropical non-alcoholic spirits that bottle up the vibes of Colombia, created to bring a Latina fiesta to those moments when you’re not drinking. Another one I’m happy about because I don’t drink, but still sometimes fancy something a bit special.

Peppadew® Sweet Mild Whole Piquanté Peppers 400g

I’ve used these before so many times. They’re great on so many dishes, especially on top of pastries with cheese.

Knorr Hairy Bikers’ Chilli Stock Pot

Made in collaboration with the Hairy Bikers, this stock pot is your ticket to adding a bold and fiery kick to your dishes. Packed with the rich and authentic taste of chili, it’s perfect for anyone who craves that unmistakable heat and flavour in their meals. I’ve used many of these the paste, they work great in slow cooker recipes!

Aero Caramel Chocolate Melts

Okay, I love these. I buy them all the time. I’m not a massive fan of Aero’s but these buttons are something else. Please get some, you won’t regret it.

SimplyCook Jerk Chicken Recipe Kit

I’ve had SimplyCook before and it’s great. You just need to buy a few fresh ingredients and then get cooking. I prefer it to full food boxes where you get all the ingredients because you can make swaps if you wish, and you don’t need to rush to use them before the ingredients run out.

Remember you can get £3 off your own Degustabox with the discount code: P1B7T!

  1. That is a new one to me! Most of those things I would not buy or try, but I bet that is part of the fun in getting the box, going outside your comfort zone and trying new things!

  2. I’m always looking at these food subscription boxes and haven’t yet bitten the bullet, so to say. But this box looks great, so I might have to check this one out! Thanks so much for sharing your experience.
