Hello, Summer! It’s been bloody hot lately, hasn’t it? Enjoy it while you can, Brits, as this will probably be the only decent weekend we’ll have until next year. Wank.
I love drinking beer or wine on warm days. There’s nothing like a white wine spritzer in the sun! But because I’ve been trying to be healthier lately, I’ve been staying away from the booze.
I’ve been challenging myself to get more water in my diet for multiple reasons. I know I drink too much tea and coffee and not enough water, so after buying tonnes of fruit and knowing I’ll probably not eat it all before it starts to go off, I decided to try some fruit-infused water.
The beauty of this, is that you can experiment with almost anything.
I put blueberries and Sharon fruit in mine, but you can add whatever you want.
Here are some other fruit I’d like to try:
Kiwi, strawberries, raspberries, orange, lemon, lime, melon, grapefruit, blackberries.
You can also add other things, such as mint leaves or cucumber. You can use spices like vanilla and cinnamon, ginger, add sugar if you’re wanting a sweeter taste.
You can also use sparkling water or lemonade if you want to mix it up a bit!
It’s dead easy to do:
- Put the fruit/spices in a glass container and gently press/crush to release some juices.
- Add your water.
- Leave it to infuse. You can drink it right away, but 4 hours is recommended, over night is even better.
What would you put in your fruit infused water?
Oh, and if you’re wondering about the container, it’s a wine glass that can fit a full bottle of wine in that a friend bought me for my birthday. Heeeee.
It looks delicious! 🙂 I love fruit and water combined!
This looks amazing. I have often wondered about this because I drink way too much coke zero and I am always trying to find alternatives.
NOOO! I hate coke zero. Diet Dr Pepper is where it’s at!
I’ve been doing this so much recently – love it! 🙂

Great idea. Although I have to talk myself into drinking water most of the time, when it’s hot, water is exactly what I want. It would be great to have fruit already soaking and cold for when thirst strikes.
I don’t know how easily I will be able to follow those instructions. Can you please do a more in depth step by step?
HAHAHA.
I always have lemon water, and I love fruit in Pimms 🙂

Hehe, hello ‘merica!
I love the container but how do you get the fruit out once you’re done drinking?? lol it’s had me puzzled for a while!
I love having a large glass of water with a few slices of lemon, tastes delicious and is a great way to detox the system after one too many at the weekend!

Haha, I didn’t think that through! Blueberries came out but I had to force the sharon fruit out with a skewer.
Putting a slice of lemon in the morning gets the digestion going. Just make sure that you don’t put too much citrus fruit in as it seriously ruins your teeth. I will have to try different fruit I always go for the same cucumber, lemon, strawberries etc. Yummy Lucy x
Oh yeah, thanks for the citrus fruit reminder!
Looks nice!
Yummy!!!! It looks delicious! Corinne thanks for the recipe:))

Um this is a fantastic idea. And that glass is awesome & your friend is too for giving it to you. I’d love to try cucumber water, seeing as I’ve heard so much about it.
