AD| Planning a wedding is so stressful, I should know – I’m currently planning mine! There’s so much to think about and every part of the process seems stressful. Because every choice is such an important decision as it’s for one of the most important days of your life! But when it comes to personalised wedding stationery, Aura Print has you covered.
Wedding invitations are the first step in making your wedding day special, so you need to get it right and be not just happy, but IN LOVE with your invites or save the dates. I wish I knew about Aura Print when I was picking my invites as I had to try and match, but the colours and designs were a bit different and it bothered me.
The images in this post are from the Aura Print Wedding Sample Pack, which contains examples of different types of wedding stationery in the different designs they offer.
Aura Print has lots of different wedding stationery designs that you can pick from. If you’ve not found something that you like, or if you want something a bit different – they can offer you custom designs.
Here are the different types of wedding stationery Aura Print offers:
Save the date
A save the date wedding invitation is an announcement of an upcoming wedding that is typically sent to friends and family six months before the marriage. This type of invitation doesn’t include any details about the event, but it does serve as an alert that people should save the date for your important day.
Save the dates usually just include the date of your wedding, it may include minor details such as the venue.
A wedding invitation is a formal announcement of your intention to marry. It typically includes the names of the bride and groom, your parents’ names, the date and location of the ceremony, along with any other information that may be necessary.
The following are things that you should include on your wedding invitation:
- the name of your fiancé(e)
- the date of your ceremony
- the time it starts
- the address
- info around parking/hotels
RSVP cards give the opportunity for your guests to let you know if you can attend or not. This is also a chance for you to ask your guests about any dietary requirements or any other information.
I love the RSVP from Aura Print above where it gives the chance for your guests to suggest a song they love! I wish I had done that!
Aura Print offer table plans. They range from size A3 to A0. Table plans are usually located in the reception area or just outside of where you will be eating so your guests know where they will be sitting.
Your guests will need to know where they are sitting, so place cards are a must at the wedding and Aura Print allows you to have your place cards in the same design as the rest of your stationery.
Thank you cards
Thank your guests for attending and being part of your special day, as well as thanking them for any gifts they give you. I love these ones the best as you get to put a photo of your own wedding on them! I can’t wait to see what my photos are like and make my thank you cards 🙂
The belly band keeps your invitation, RSVP and any other information you might send your guests together. It’s not essential but one of those special touches that pulls it all together.
You can have your own sticker made! This keeps the belly band together but could also be used for other things if you wanted!
Tag with string
These are a great alternative to a save the date! Just a cute little tag with a few details for your guests.
Design your own wedding stationary
The beauty of Aura Print is that you can design your own. I’ve done this with business cards– you send them your brief and then a design will create it and send you it for approval.
How To Design And Create Your Own Wedding Invitations
Designing your own wedding invitations is a great way to have something that is completely personal to you. You can design the invitations using your favourite colours, fonts, and images.
The first thing you should do when designing your own wedding invitation is choosing a theme. There are many different themes that you can choose from such as vintage, rustic, or chic. The theme will dictate the colours and fonts that are used on the invitation cards.
What Kind of Fonts are Appropriate?
Fonts are the design of letters, numbers, or symbols on a page. They are used to convey meaning and are often paired with different colours. Fonts can be used for both text and titles.
When deciding on what font to use for your wedding invitations there are a few things to consider: Do you want it to be formal or informal? Do you want it to be bold or delicate?
There are many fonts that you can choose from for your wedding invitations. The type of font that you choose will depend on your personal preference, the style of wedding invitation that you want to create, and the message that you want to convey. For example, if you’re looking for something elegant and sophisticated then it might be best to use a script font like “Bickham Script”. If you’re looking for something informal then it might be best to use a handwritten font like “Papyrus”.
If you pop on to Pinterest and search ‘wedding fonts’ or ‘font pairings’ you can get an idea of what fonts look good together.
Once you’ve decided on what font you want to use then it’s time for colour selection! What colours do you like? Which ones evoke the feeling. I really love this website which gives you colour schemes and lets you generate your own!
With Aura Print, you just send them your brief as detailed as possible and they come up with the rest! I wish I had designed my own custom wedding stationery with Aura Print now as I had seen some invites I liked but would have liked to make changes to them.
Would you rather design your own or go with a pre-made invitation? I do love the idea of designing my own but it can be quite overwhelming if you’re not sure exactly what you want. It’s nice to have the choice either way.
