If you’re looking for some Christmas dress ideas, you’re in luck with this post as I’ve been looking for the perfect Christmas dress for 2021.
Is anyone else like me and always has a new outfit for Christmas day? My mum used to buy me dresses perfect for Christmas Day every year! Now I’m a little older, I have to buy my own dresses. I love shopping for dresses but I aways find myself gravitating towards the same style of dresses, so I do have to try hard to be strict with myself and pick styles and colours that are a bit different!
Anyway, I’ve found some lovely dresses that I think will be just perfect for Christmas!

People Tree
I’m starting off with a sustainable brand: People Tree. People Tree is a Guaranteed Status member of The World Fair Trade Organization, dedicated to fair and transparent production throughout their supply chain.
Their products are made by Fair Trade Producers from fabrics like GOTS-certified organic cotton, organic linen, and Tencel.
The green dress is made from 100% TENCEL™ – a cellulose fibre derived from wood pulp in a unique closed-loop system that recycles almost 100% of solvent in the closed-loop process and is biodegradable. I adore this print and the cut of the dress. Of course, green is so festive! I love how the tie belt allows this Christmas dress to clench at the waist, I find this a flattering fit for my body type.
The two red dresses are made from 95% GOTS certified organic cotton in jersey finish, with 5% elastane for a great fit. Their GOTS certified organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment with systems in place to replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilisers, and build biologically diverse agriculture. How amazing is that?
Thought.
Thought is an ethical brand from North London and its products are made from sustainable materials like hemp, Tencel, modal, bamboo, cotton, and wool.
I love all these dresses, I can’t decide which one I like most for my Christmas dress – maybe the red one? The patterns are stunning and they are dresses I would love and wear for a long time!
New Look
Back to the highstreet brands now with these three from New Look.
I love the lace spotty dress! It looks great for breastfeeding in, too. I love the white animal print one as well, I’m a bit afraid of white but this has quite a lot of black print on it!
ASOS
Erm, hello! I have no idea where to start. The green dress is so elegant! The sequin dresses are perfect for a bit of Christmas sparkles! They would make a great dress for a Christmas party, if we are allowed those this year?!
Dorothy Perkins
I can always count on my gal Dorothy to come up with the goods. I was spoiled for choice in picking just three Christmas dresses ideas here!
I can’t get over how much I love that glam sequin dress! I want to go to somewhere fancy now so I can wear it! The green satin midi dress is also stunning, but not as blingy so would be more suited for my Christmas outfit!
Which one do you like the best?
these are all great outfit ideas… i love them all.

I’ve been so impressed with New Look this year, it’s not somewhere I’ve really bothered with since my early twenties but I’ve found so much in recent months
I absolutely love the first two. They’re all nice dresses, but think the trend towards shopping ethically and sustainably is here to stay (and a welcome one at that) great post x
Very glam for Christmas!
I’ve thought about Christmas Eve pyjamas but not outfit for the day so I need to get my thinking cap on
New Look always bring out the most amazing Christmas dresses and I hope I can buy something new for this year! x

Absolutely LOVE your picks! I tend to go sparkly for Christmas day and get all glammed up. This year I’ve bought a novelty pregnancy Christmas dress from Vinted that I can’t wait to show off!
