Playroom

You might be in a hectic household with kids roaming around, with kids usually comes chaos and mountains of toys. You can change your spare room into a playroom. The kids will love this, and you will appreciate not seeing toys everywhere. The great thing about a playroom is you can shut the doors at the end of the day once the kids are in bed and forget about the mess rather than walking around tidying all the toys like usual. 

There are so many options when it comes to playrooms including various toy storage ideas. It needs to be age and stage appropriate, if your two children have a big age gap between them and don’t play with the same toys then you could use a room divider to create two separate play spaces. 

Guest Room

A common option for spare space in the house is a guest room. If you have family and friends come to stay quite often it would make sense for you to change it to a guest room. You can put anything you like in a guest room, you can leave it plain with just a bed, or you can jazz it up and make it a home from home for your visitors. 

There are lots of furniture options for a guest room, you can even get a full set of matching furniture that consists of a wardrobe, chest of drawers, and a bedside table. Bedside tables are handy for any room, your guests can store their valuables in the drawer and place a drink and an alarm clock on top of it within handy reach when laying in bed. 

Office Space

With everything that has happened due to the covid-19 pandemic, a lot of folks have been working from home. This can be tricky if you don’t have a designated space to complete your work. You can of course work at the kitchen table but this is no good for your back or sanity, there can be many distractions when working from home including simple things such as the postman disturbing you. 

You can make sure your house has a home office by converting the spare room so you can work in there away from the main hustle and bustle of the house and any distractions you may face. Make sure you put a sign on the door so your family doesn’t disturb you while you are working. This increases productivity as there are no disturbances while you work.
