AD| Degusta Box has been my longest collaboration! I’ve been working with Degusta Box since around 2014 and since then I’ve had the pleasure of receiving the food subscription box every month for review. They contacted me last month to ask if I wanted to try the Degusta Box Selection for Summer 2021.

What is Deugstabox Selection?
Degustabox Selection is a limited edition box of premium products. The box costs more than the normal box but contains premium and luxury products. It’s perfect for food lovers who love trying fancy foods and quality brands and would make a great gift for a friend or family member of is big on food. It’s a great way to discover new food and brand, pushing you out of your comfort zone of always buying the usual items at the supermarket.
Degusta Box Selection Summer 2021

Double Dutch Tonic Water
I was sent this in 3 flavours:
- skinny tonic water
- cucumber and watermelon
- pomegrante and basil
I enjoyed the pomegranate and basil one with a gin just before the euro final football match. It was such a lovely flavour and I did feel a bit fancy drinking it! I usually just have gin with a slimline tonic (not that I drink much these days!).

The Original Black Garlic Paste shots
These are an absolute flavour bomb to add to many dishes including bolognese, chillis and stirfry. We are going to use ours to make a mushroom risotto!

Rustichella D’Abruzzo Penne
This brand of pasta is used by some of the best chefs in the world. The brand has almost 100 years of history. We’ve not tried this yet, but we have pasta dishes often so will be using this very soon. I can’t wait to see how it tastes compared to a normal pack from Tesco!

Geeta’s Tandoori Marinade
This marinade would make a great meat rub or face for a curry. We recently discovered how amazing lamb chops taste with Indian style spices on – so we’ll probably rub it on some lamb chops and then fry them with some sweet potato fries and salad. Sounds delicious!
Greeta’s Sweet & Spicy Mango Sauce
As you all know, I’m not a fan of sweet things making their way into my savoury food so I am sure you can appreciate that I’m not a fan of mango sauce.

Aspall Premier Cru Cyder
This cyder has a floral aroma and a clean apple taste. It really does taste like a quality cider – my partner even liked it and he’s a bit of a cider snob and only drinks ‘proper cider’ (eg not the stuff you get in cans from the supermarket) haah!

Lyons Coffee Bags – Perkadilly
I love these! Of my favourite products in the box. We often have ground coffee in the french press and it can be a bit messy, so it was so nice to be able to use these for a no-fuss option! This is something I will buy again if I see it stocked in my local supermarket.

Hilltop Hot Honey
Well, this honey is infused with chillies which is really intriguing to me! I use honey a lot, mostly in tea, on cereal and yoghurt so I’m not sure how this will taste in those things, but I’m happy to give it a try!

Odysea Extra Virgin Oil
This is made from hand-picked olives from the groves in Peloponnese, which is an area in Greece known for its finest oils. I adore olive oil. My favourite thing is to have it with some balsamic and dip fresh bread into it alongside a good main.

Mackie’s of Scotland Pickled Onion Potato Crisps
I love pickled onion crisps but I don’t think I’ve had many apart from Monster Munch,. I’m in my mid 30’s now so I do need probably need to stop eating kids crisps. Maybe. These are delicious. They’re salty, sour, zingy and everything you would want in a pickled onion crisp.

Bahlsen Ohne Gleichen Milk
Smooth hazelnut praline sandwiched between two crisp wafers, topped with a square of milk chocolate.
This was one of my favourite items. It’s amazing. It reminds me a bit of a Forero Rocher with the crisp wafer and it tastes more like a chocolate than a business. Need more of these in my life. We finished the pack in a day.
Mr Fibert’s Chilli & Fennel and Classic Dry Roasted Nuts
For some reason, I didn’t take a photo of these, but we’ve eaten them now. They were enjoyed during the football game. They were delicious, especially the chilli and fennel ones. So much flavour on them!
I loved getting this box and it did make me feel a bit fancy! You can get your own Degusta Box Selection here and get £2 off by entering the discount code SELECTIONBL.
The paste shots sound great to add into pastas. The hot honey… hmmm! I use honey quite a lot too but I definitely wouldn’t put that on my pancakes. I’ve used honey in various dishes before to make sauces so this type of honey would go AMAZINGLY in those!
Oh we used to seel the Mr Filberts nuts at my previous job and they always went down like a treat, so many flavours to choose from! That garlic paste would come so handy while cooking and I am very intrigued by the chilly honey, sounds like a must try! x
Wow that mango sauce sounds amazing I love the sound of this box! Thank you for sharing Corinne x
It looks like they give you a variety of fun new products to try. I love experimenting with new flavors and ingredients.
This sounds great if you want to try some new food! I love how you get such a wide selection of food! Pickeled onion crisps are delicious aren’t they?!
