Cotton and Olive are a textile website I haven’t used before. They sell natural textiles and soaps. You can buy towels, bathmats, soaps, throw, blankets, bathrobes and more. Their concept is to provide high-quality, lightweight textiles made of premium natural fibres for high performance to keep up with the busy modern living.

If you’re wondering about the meaning behind the name:

Cotton – because of their love of cotton and the products beautifully made from it.

Olive – this stands for the hand-crafted, all-natural soaps based on olive oil from the ancient Turkish hometown of Antakya.

Cotton and Olive is a family run business, take a look at the story of the Paydas Family to find out more about their family business. They have a lovely story behind the business and I love their concept!

For Leo, I opted for the Sailor baby poncho set. There are three sets in this range:

I asked for the Sailor poncho set because I really love the look of the dark blue and thought it would be sweet for the beach!

The sets are made from fully certified organic cotton and have the GOTS certificate (GOTS is the leading organic textile standard).  They are produced and packed in pesticide and fertiliser-free environments so you can be sure they will be kind to your babies skin from birth. This is really reassuring you are a bit of a worrier like me! I was so concerned about what I put on his skin.

Our poncho set came packaged beautifully in a giftbox. The soft towel has embroidered navy detail on the edges and has cute embroidered designs on them.

It comes with:

  • A Poncho (age 0-1)
  • Swaddle Towel (80 x 80 cm)
  • Bib (24 x 33 cm)
  • Wash Glove

I love the swaddle towel and it’s come in handy for swimming. We do have some swaddle towels from Amazon but they are getting a bit small, these are a bit bigger for him so I can wrap him up warm after his swimming lessons!

I’m really excited to use the poncho in the summer. We’re going to get a paddling pool for Leo to use in the garden and I’m sure this will come in so handy when he’s in and out of it to just throw on so he doesn’t get cold.

These sets would make a lovely gift. They are packaged in such a lovely way. It would make a great baby shower gift or to welcome a new baby! If you’re looking for something to give to a friend or relative that’s having a baby and you’re stuck on what to get, then this is a unique gift.

  22. I will not be entering the giveaway as I am in the US, but I love that this is made of cotton and so beautifully embellished with eye-catching colors! The Sailor Baby is lovely, but I am also enjoying the cute Twin Bears.

  31. I saw the pic of little Leo in this earlier on Instagram! It’s just the most gorgeous set. We didn’t have anything like this for A when she was a newborn, she’s got a shark towel now however which she is VERY protective over. Haha. Thanks for sharing the competition too! I’ve of course entered for baby number 2.
