Newman’s Own salad dressing was in the June Degustabox. I always forget about salad dressing, but it’s a great way of adding flavour and a bit of sauce to the dryness of a salad without adding as many calories as a humous.
We’ve been eating loads of salads lately as I can’t eat cooked veg because it makes me want to throw up (pregnancy-related, I’m not a fussy eater!) so I’m trying to have as many salads as I can to get some vitamins and minerals in me and my baby.
One thing we keep having lately is slow-cooked gammon. It’s really easy to make, we just put it in the slow cooker for about 7 or 8 hours and then serve with a massive salad.
We had this last week and added the Newman’s Italian dressing. It’s got a big kick to it so you don’t need much. The only issue I had with it is that the bottle has a fully open top so it’s hard to control how much you pour on. That’s how I know you don’t need much because I really felt that kick!
