5 things you should be doing on Twitter in 2019

Twitter is still one of my favourite social media platforms. I know most bloggers are now more in favour of Instagram, but what I love about Twitter is that if I’m ever feeling like I want to chat to someone, I can just hop on, send out a tweet asking how peoples day has been and get chatting.

That’s not to mention how good Twitter can be for your blog. Whether it’s finding great blog posts, making friends, finding collabs or promoting your own articles – it’s a great place to be.

So let’s see what we can do to make the most of Twitter in 2019.

5 things you should be doing on Twitter in 2019

Be more descriptive.

Build up your Tweets – especially your promotional ones, with exciting words to entice people to click on your link or complete your call to action.

Now Twitter has 280 characters, you no longer need to keep it so short and sweet.

Be visual.

Make yourself stand out from the crowd by using images and videos. You can even make different images for the same blog posts.

Keep it to your branding (colours, fonts), but don’t have every image exactly the same as it could cause people to scroll straight past it if it’s something they’ve seen a thousand times. You want to catch someones attention.

Text only Tweets.

These can still work for starting conversations or asking questions. Ensure to reply to those that respond. You can even respond to other peoples tweets!

Questions.

Ask your audience questions in your tweets and be sure to answer them to keep yourself visible in peoples timelines! This will get a conversation going and boost your engagement.

Retweet Useful Content.

Retweeting content that is useful to your audience, especially if it’s within your niche, will help build your own authority as well get you noticed by people whose content you are sharing.

Whenever I see a tweet requesting bloggers for a collab, I retweet it whether I am going to apply or not. Share the love!
