Dozing off after a long day of ticking off everything on your to-do list is probably one of the things you look forward to at the end of each day. Giving importance to rest is one of the best forms of self-care you can give yourself every day.
But as much as you want to forget about everything and just sleep once you get home after a tiring day, it is always best to practice mindful beauty by disciplining yourself to do your skincare routine at night before having your beauty sleep.
Devoting at least ten to fifteen minutes a day to do your nighttime routine will make a huge difference to your skin. You should not make things too complicated, in fact, others even do their PM skincare routine in just five minutes!
In this article, I have listed a short but ideal routine you can implement to keep your skin healthy and free from impurities.
1. Vegan Soaps for Cleansing
Cleansing should be one of the first things that you need to do when starting your routine. Personally, I like using vegan soaps to deeply cleanse my skin. There are lots of sustainable beauty brands there selling non-toxic skincare, you just need to find the best vegan soap that you think will best suit your skin needs.
I use Fysha’s Peppermint and French Green Clay and Rose Geranium and French Red Clay alternately, depending on what I feel like using. These handmade soaps are personal favorites of mine because both soaps can cleanse, eliminate skin impurities, keeps my skin supple. I only recently started practicing mindful beauty and it is certainly one of the best skincare decisions I have ever made.
Out of all the non-toxic skincare brands that I have read about, Fysha stood out to me the most because of their vegan soaps are palm oil free and does not stripe your skin of its natural oils.
Once you have removed all the toxins and impurities from your skin after cleansing, make use of a toner. You should never take for granted the power of using soaps as cleansers and toners for tightening your pores because they are real lifesavers!
Once you’re done cleansing and putting on toner, do apply the necessary serum/s and creams to treat your skin dilemmas. There are various types serums that targets certain skin needs –– whether it’s for removing acne, acne scars, or giving you that extra boost to keep your skin radiant and glowing.
Once you’re done applying the essential treatments that can refresh and remedy your skin issues (if there’s any), it’s time to use product/s that can hydrate your skin.
Whether you have oily or dry skin, it is always best to apply moisturizer on your skin to retain moisture and at the same time give nourishment to your skin. After which, you can now put on eye cream to prevent your eyes from looking tired and dull especially during daytime!
