I’m going to see the Spice Girls in less than a week! YES, I AM SO EXCITED!

We booked the tickets last year and were lucky to get some! I got to see the Spice Girls in 1997 when I was 11 years old. It was a dream come true. And now I get to relive my childhood and go and see them again! Zigga zig ah!

This got me thinking about the songs and bands I used to listen to when I was younger, back in the 90s. Here are some that stand out…

Take That.

The first tape I ever owned was a Take That album. It was a copy that my parents bought me from the market. Remember when they used to sell copies at markets? Haha. Babe was my favourite!

Cotton Eye Joe.

My first CD single! I loved this song and my friend and I would listen to it on hours on repeat doing the dance!

Gina G.

Her song Ohh Ahh Just a Little Bit was a complete hit with me! I was completely obsessed with it!

Vanilla.

The song No Way No Way was probably the worst song I’ve ever been in love with. Listening to it now, I have no idea why I loved it so much! Wow.

Wigfield.

This song is a classic. I still love it now and love when it comes on in bars! I can still remember the dance to it ha.

What were your top songs as a child?
