Remember last winter? I mean, who could forget it. I remember this one time, at band camp… no wait, that’s not how this story goes.
The Beast from the East. Remember that? Freak snowfalls, freezing temperatures in March then by April it was really sunny. If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, you should!) you might remember the drama I had last year with trying to get to Leeds from York in a freak snowfall.
When I woke up at 6:30 am, it was snowing a tiny bit. Barely settling. An hour later, I left for work and by the time it took me to get to York ring road, traffic was halted. I tried all 3 ways I know how to get out of York from where I was and all three ways were a disaster.
I ended up turning around and getting to the gym – 2 hours later. By the time I had gone home and had a shower, it was all melted.
I drove to work with no problem, turned up 4 hours late and saw loads of abandoned cars on my way. Now perfectly clear of snow! It was a bit scary and odd.
With the winter of 2019 set to be colder than average and snow scares already all around the internet, it’s important to be prepared.
If you’re anything you like me, you probably don’t need a coat generally. I drive most places and that’s usually to the gym or to work. If I ever do go out somewhere where I need a coat, I just always got by with a coat I got from Tesco years ago but have hardly worn, paired with a hat and scarf.
Well, now things are a bit different. I live in walking distance to York city centre and we often walk in to go for food and a few drinks, so I’ve been needing a coat more than ever.
I treated myself to a really nice designer coat last year. It’s not usually something I would spend so much on, but it’s so warm! I need a trouser version for the rest of me.
I was browsing OD’s Designer Clothing when I came across some of these lovely coats. The Froccella women’s coats look so nice and caught my attention. These luxury coats will make a perfect addition to your wardrobe for years to come.
