Shakespeare’s Village, York

We are so lucky to have some amazing places in York. Shakespeare’s Village is one of them. Sadly it’s closed now but over the summer this pop-up theatre showed some of the most famous Shakespeare Plays. Outside, was Shakespeare’s village – a place of entertainment with jesters, Yorkshire food and drink.

Right next to Clifford’s tower, we decided to have a wander around the village and stay for a few drinks. We were lucky enough to get seats, about 15 minutes after we sat down, loads of people came pouring out of the theatre for the interval of the show that was on. Two older ladies came and sat with us and they were pretty hilarious.

I’m sad this isn’t staying longer, I would have loved to have seen a show!
