Since I was a child, I’ve always dreamed of creating my perfect bedroom. Now I’m a bit older my ideal bedroom has obviously changed a lot it’s no longer pink everywhere with lots of Barbies and other things a typical little girl would want in a bedroom.
Though some of the things I want have stayed the same.
Here are some of the things I’d love in my bedroom:
A TV bed.
We currently don’t have a TV in our bedroom. Mostly because there’s no space. I fall asleep watching TV a lot, much to the annoyance of my boyfriend. So I think it would be great to have a TV bed so we could both lay and watch TV programs. TV beds are great, getting all cozy and ready to go to sleep. If I do fall asleep I don’t have to bother waking myself up to walk up the stairs and brush my teeth – which always means I can’t get back to sleep when I’m in bed!
Walk-in wardrobe.
A walk-in wardrobe has always been something that I’ve always wanted. We currently share two wardrobes and it’s not enough space for my dress addiction. One of my favourite things about a walk-in wardrobe is that you can store all your clothes and still keep that clear minimalistic look to the rest of the bedroom.
A mannequin.
I do actually own a mannequin, it’s a dressmakers doll that I’ve had for years. She’s called Maria and she used to feature regularly in my outfit posts. Sadly I no longer have space for her so she is up in the loft. I would love to have an empty corner in my bedroom so I could have her on display again wearing my favourite necklaces and jacket.
A seating area.
The comfy seating area would also be a feature in my bedroom. Whether that’s one of those window benches you can sit and read in comfort while looking outside or some form of soft armchair with an ottoman. Just somewhere to sit and relax so you can spend a little bit of time to yourself.
A big mirror.
A stand-alone full-length mirror would make a great addition to my dream bedroom. Much better than the wiggly mirror that I bought from IKEA when I was at university. It currently sits in a hallway and is a bit naff, to be honest! Not only would a bigger mirror be great for looking at my outfits before I go out but I could take some great Instagram pictures with it.
What features in your dream bedroom?
I would love a walk in wardrobe!

A walk in wardrobe is my dream! And a seating area, like one of those window bays you can place a few cushions on and cosy into with a book.
When I moved out of my parent’s house, I had a lot of fun decorating my current room: granted, it’s rented so I can’t make any permanent changes, but it’s been so much fun picking a colour pallet and running with it!
