Welcome to the third week of my blog course – Complete Guide to Social Media.
This week we’ll be talking about Twitter and how to get the most out of Twitter alongside your blog. The aim of this course is to help others improve their social media presence with quicky, punchy blog posts that don’t waffle on. Let’s cut to the chase, shall we?
Regular Tweets that invite conversation always go well on Twitter. Avoid bombarding your followers, but aim to put something out there a few times a day to get a conversation going.
If you see several people in your feed having a conversation that you have something valuable to add to, then join in! This is a great way to find new friends and engage with others.
Reply to Tweets.
Replying to people is a great way to increase engagement, get shown in peoples feed and get people focusing on you and your profile.
Join Twitter Chats.
If you are new to Twitter, then join the Twitter chats! They are a great way to talk to new people and often lead to new followers!
Link your blog posts.
Linking your blog posts is a great way to get more views to your blog. Check out a site like Buffer to schedule in advance. I personally send about 15 Tweets a day to my blog posts. Some people might think that’s too many but it works for me! The trick is to ensure you are sending out other Twitters, too, not just self-promotional ones.
Build relationships, share knowledge and thank bloggers that post great content by retweeting it!
Don’t copy Tweets.
Quotes or funny Tweets seem to be popular right now, don’t copy someone else’s viral Tweet and pass it off as your own! Someone always knows you have copied as you have seen it before. Just Retweet the original if you like it that much!
