How to visit London on budget

London is an expensive city.  There is no doubt about that. So spending a few days there can really hurt your wallet. Visting London Zoo, Madame Tussauds, going on the London Eye – these things all cost money. I wanted to share a few things you can do in London on the cheap or even for free!

Walk instead of getting the tube. 

London is a big place, but you can attack it in sections and just walk rather than paying for transport. I went to London once for a full weekend and only got the tube once! Walked the rest of the time!

Visit Free Museums.

I love the National History Museum. It’s massive and you can spend hours walking around and learning about the world. There are many other places like this you can visit for free, too. Just Google ‘free museums and attractions in London’.

Find places to walk around.

You can make the most of London by taking in the sites while not spending a penny. On a nice day have a walk around Regents Park. Walk down to Buckingham Palace, see Big Ben, 10 Downing Street, have a walk down South Bank or visit the stunning houses in Notting Hill.

Find cheap theatre tickets

London is known for its theatre, check out theatre discount sites to find tickets at a great price.

Eat on the cheap.

There’s a mixture of places to eat in London and they all range in price. Research the menu of where to eat beforehand to make sure it’s a price you’re comfortable with.

Another great idea is to find any food markets. There are often food events on in London, or visit the famous Camden Market for some street food!
