Gin is brill, isn’t it? It’s always sad when I get to the end of a bottle of gin, but also quite a good thing because it means I can try something new!

I saw this Elderflower Gin by J.J. Whitely in my local Tesco Extra. It was on special offer at £16 for a 70cl bottle. I love elderflower and often get elderflower tonic to mix with a standard gin.

Tasting Notes: Candied sweetness, dominated by the unmistakable punch of elderflower with flicks of grassiness, orange blossom and honey.

It’s a beautiful flavour and very easy to drink. It’s not too strong in flavour, but you can taste it. The sweetness of the elderflower takes off that bitter edge that a standard gin has – a plus if you’re not into that.

Looking forward to pouring myself another glass of this!
