Fuji Hero Leeds

Fuji Hiro in Leeds is a no-frills Japanese noodle bar. It sells ramen, pan-fried noodle dishes and dumplings.

I went with my friends last week. We decided to share 3 starters between us and then we each got a ramen bowl each.

The dumplings were delicious, we had the pork ones. We also had battered king prawns and chicken on skewers and they were pretty average. The batter kind of ruined the prawns and the chicken was a little dry.

I picked the seafood ramen for my main. I’ve heard about ramen a lot and it seems to be something people rave about. Sadly I was disappointed. The broth didn’t really taste of anything apart from the salt I put in it. The seafood in the broth was rubbery and overcooked, which I guess is because it was in the boiling hot broth.

I must say I was disappointed with my first noodle experience. I’m not sure if I’ll ever try ramen again, but I’m not in any rush to!

Good to hear that the dumplings were delicious. Seems like the food was pretty yummy there. Sorry to hear you were disappointed by your first noodle experience. I love noodles! Maybe you just need to try them some other way.

    Have a wonderful Sunday!

Sorry that your first noodle experience wasn’t that great. I find the whole noodles and soup/broth a difficult one. Prefer to have them
dry with additions of chicken or shrimp Lucy x

Oh those dumplings do look good! It’s such a shame that the rest of your meal wasn’t as enjoyable though! I’ve never actually tried ramen before, there’s a place right near the office but I’ve never been game to try as I’m a messy eater, haha! Not what I need before a big meeting!

Hope you are having a great weekend! We had a busy one, some Church Online people flew over from the US so the weekend was full of activities 🙂
