Hashtags are what Twitter is made up of. There are loads of hashtags used and it’s a great way to get seen by those that don’t follow you, There are lots of hashtags for bloggers, it’s just a case of knowing which hashtags are the best for you!
It’s a great research tool, too, as you’re able to find tweets about a particular subject. Let’s not forget the ever-popular Twitter chats. Hashtags are used here so everyone can follow the same conversation, regardless of who they follow.
The best thing to do is use around 3-4 hashtags per promotional tweet and 1-2 per normal tweet.
You can get away with using more if you’re adding hashtags to add humour and sarcasm to tweets, or if you just don’t care about what people think!

Great post twitter and #tags is a mindfield. Useful that Twitter now shows you how often that hashtag has been used so you can use those that are post popular. I use fdbloggers, foodie for food related posts Lucy x
